The end of this season ^^^^^^^

Fighting Villa for fourth was an embarrassment and he should hav left to preserve his not so badly (at the time) damaged legacy.

Had to laugh last night at just how stupid some Arsenal fans can be.

I put a radio station on to gauge the mood, (It may have been Talksport, I've got no idea). A caller came on and said to Mark Lawrenson "Wenger should go now". So far so good I thought until Lawrenson put him on the spot. Rather than list all of Wenger's fcuk ups since 2005 the caller started gibbering and made a right tit of himself. He then put the cherry on his own cake of stupidity when Lawrenson asked him " who would you replace Wenger with?"

His answer??

"Errrrrrr - Alan Pardew cos he's won 6 games in a row"

Whoever was in the studio laughed so loud and Lawrenson struggled to carry on. I just shouted "you utter bell-end" and thought that we'll all be seen as daft as this bloke

I dont get the end of season argument. He is not a competent manager. Even those who voted end of season will say that. He is and has gradually turned us into specialists in finishing fourth. He is damaging us more and more with every minute he stays. Id rather have no manager than Wenger.

Further to that he has totally destroyed the legacy he could have had with fans (well this fan)8, taken away the enjoyment I used to have from watching the Arsenal and turned me bitterly, bitterly against him.

Unlike some I will not always love him for the good times. That ship sailed long ago. I hope he finishes in disgrace and is ridiculed for the arrogant, greedy, selfish, stupid fraud that he is.

Parlour has come out and said a new Manager is needed - I don't think last night papered over any cracks.

I still think we might fuck up on Saturday morning and get outplayed by Southampton.

The one thing I keep faith in is that Wenger is getting worse not better. he is going to go.

For me there can be no middle ground. If you dont want him gone right now then you want him to stay.
Whether that be to the end of the season or indefinitely, you still want him to stay. To continue doing everything that has tortured us and astounded us and frustrated us for all these years.

We'll probably scrape fourth amd it'll be Wengers greatest ever achievement if he stays on and we'll have groundhog day all over again

Least SteveO's old man would have been happy! :D
Chuffed to bits he was - "at least the real fans turned up to see it" he said last night......he still believes in the Great Man !

PS - Nice to see someone quote Robin_L - its the only way I get to see his stalking attempts these days. I'll have to get the police to check his tag to see if he's come within 150 yards of my house! Wonder what the L stands for?

Yes, we'll be in Pot 2 next season. Pot 1 will be all league champions.
Ok thanks..assuming we qualify we will be in pot 2.
I may be wrong but if all English team do shit this year our coefficient suffers to the point where we could be in pot three.
No way. It's based on the last 5 years and we will not drop any lower than pot 2.

Bang on 8) every minute that he stays in charge of our club is a minute wasted, he will hang around for as long as he wants to and if/when he decides to go we will be light years behind.I get goosebumps thinking of the day he actually does fuck off.

Phew - thank god for that. I was worried as to how I would sleep tonight at the thought that the annual last 16 humiliation wasn't going to form part of our Groundhog calendar

The end of season argument is more about the new guy coming in. If you appoint a new manager next week you are setting him up for a fall and on a hiding to nothing with the media clowns and the majority (I still believe it's a majority) of our fans, particularly in the Bowl. And that's IF you could get a decent manager mid-season (which you won't). The media would turn on him instantly partly because the perception would be that "fickle" Arsenal fans drove Wenger out, but also partly because they are THAT fucking moronic.

Similarly, what would an interim or caretaker manager do for the rest of the season? And who should that be? Bouldy? Don't make me laugh.

Wenger isn't going to destroy us or get us relegated or any of that nonsense, anyone that thinks that is an idiot. He isn't making us worse every season, to think that is missing the point entirely. What he is doing is making us stagnate. We will just plod on like every other year and get 4th and the CL etc etc etc fucking etc. Getting Wenger out is not about halting a slide - there is no real slide. We still finish above 16 of the 19 other teams in the PL every season. It's about lifting the team out of this stagnation where the height of ambition is 4th place.

Better to bring in a new manager with the new season. Give him the summer to add players and start on a decent footing.

I think it should be now, with or without Wenger (or a miracle) we can write off this season,> Even if it means Bould as caretaker until May. Actually Bould with sole control may be able to impart some defensive training and discipline on the squad. So now please. But it's not going to happen.

What Bouldy in sole charge might bring is you never know who would be quick to jump aboard and help him out, offer advice and assistance, maybe people like GG or someone who still love the club and have an affinity with it but cannot get near it due the the cult of Wenger.
