Agree Wenger isnt going to destroy us but someone else comes in now and adds a bit of defensive nous and maybe another cb and a dm in the january window could get us challenging again. The Bouldy answer might bring him out of his yes sir shell and allow him to bring out a defensive side we havent seen for a few years now.Sorry only my opinion after all who knew who Arsene Wenger was before we got him and i also havent been in football for 30 years.DB10GOONER wrote:The end of season argument is more about the new guy coming in. The media would turn on him instantly partly because the perception would be that "fickle" Arsenal fans drove Wenger out, but also partly because they are THAT fucking moronic.armchair wrote:I dont get the end of season argument. Further to that he has totally destroyed the legacy he could have had with fans (well this fan)8, taken away the enjoyment I used to have from watching the Arsenal and turned me bitterly, bitterly against him.
Unlike some I will not always love him for the good times. That ship sailed long ago. I hope he finishes in disgrace and is ridiculed for the arrogant, greedy, selfish, stupid fraud that he is.
Similarly, what would an interim or caretaker manager do for the rest of the season? And who should that be? Bouldy? Don't make me laugh.
Wenger isn't going to destroy us or get us relegated or any of that nonsense, anyone that thinks that is an idiot. He isn't making us worse every season, to think that is missing the point entirely. What he is doing is making us stagnate. We will just plod on like every other year and get 4th and the CL etc etc etc fucking etc. Getting Wenger out is not about halting a slide - there is no real slide. We still finish above 16 of the 19 other teams in the PL every season. It's about lifting the team out of this stagnation where the height of ambition is 4th place.
Better to bring in a new manager with the new season. Give him the summer to add players and start on a decent footing.

It's a good point mate, and who knows? Bouldy might at least sort the defence short term. Really though, it's all hypothetical as the Board will never remove Wenger mid season and probably never at all. I still believe Wenger will only leave when he determines it's the right time for him. God alone knows when that happy day will be.

Unfortunately for us,at least most of us on this Arsenal forum, wiggy likes money and has no ego motivation to see trophies in the trophy cabinet.DB10GOONER wrote:It's a good point mate, and who knows? Re: [POLL]: When should Wenger go?
Like I said every minute he remains in charge is a minute wasted. We aren't stagnating were getting worse year on year..its just lucky for the auld bumhole weve always got at least 16 teams below us and thats in part due to the fact the prem is getting gradually worse. He has to be ousted asap, if it takes shit form and dropping out of the be all and end all then so be it. I would rather have no champ lge and a new man than more of the borefest and him in the dugout flapping about trying to do up his zipper

Re: [POLL]: When should Wenger go?
If i've done my maths correctly we'd need to win every match left to us outside of The Mancs, Shitty, Chavski and the Mousers just to equal our points total last season, to beat it we'd have to take points from the other 4 'top' (i use the term loosely for some of them) teams....
I'm not sure any manager could do it currently but i'm pretty certain Le Cock can't!
I'd rather give a new or caretaker manager the chance to begin reorganising mid-season rather than having a shorter time in the summer.

Re: [POLL]: When should Wenger go?
I was disappointed to see that 21st May 2005 was not one of the voting options..
But then realised the question wasn't "When should Wenger have gone?"

really starting to lose all interest - of course thats what the club wants.

So 3 votes 'Never and he should get a further contract' currently.
Assuming these people aren't trolling and they can be given a chance to answer without being taken the piss out of too much, i'd genuinely like to hear why they have answered this way?

Le Specialist are these:-
1. Be careful what you wish for
2. F**k off and support Chelsea / Citeh / Spurs
3. Who else could possibly do better?

Re: [POLL]: When should Wenger go?
did anyone see merson & keown bigging up wenger in the papers last week?
think one comparison that they drew up was with curbishley at fucking charlton. "look at them now, in the championship"
what? what point is that? look at southampton now, adkins was fucked off in 2012 when every neutral said it was disgusting to get rid of him and praised what a sterling job he did, and now they're 2nd in the league and playing even better football than before.

Us beating Dortmund the other night ,has really fucked Baba up,don't think hes posted since.
Re: [POLL]: When should Wenger go?
They are comparing Arsenal with Charlton because thats how far we have fallen,They would never compare us to Chelsea who have had 9 managers in 10 years. And look how that has effected them not a trophy in sightHenry Norris 1913 wrote:did anyone see merson & keown bigging up wenger in the papers last week?
