THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

oh this is interesting - the twat in charge, is taking the squad to INDIA for pre season. in July, in the monsoon season - yup, 120 degrees heat, 110% humidity, and dysentary is just perfect for the squads pre season preparation :banghead:

anyone who's been to Bombay and Goa knows they have nice hotels, but they also have shite infrastructure, dodgy security and rampant disease - the UK gov recommends Malaria, Hepatitis A, and Rabies shots before going.....

after three long haul tours we've had three slow starts, but anything for a quid eh Arsene ?

Great we've tapped up the funds from the 2+Billion in the far east, now we're going for the 800 Million in the sub-continent, lets not worry about the strain placed on the team with all the travelling around as long as the money keeps rolling in... :barscarf:

Honestly though i don't see this is a Wenger idea this is way too financially intelligent.

Lets take a guess if the next pre-season is in either the emerging economies in Africa or S America.

To be fair it's a purely commercial decision where to go for pre-season. When we used to go to Austria/Switzerland we would still have some awful pre-seasons and it wouldn't necessarily make a huge difference to how we started the league season proper.

Cannot blame Wenger for an Indian tour.
If he had his way it would be Austria every summer.
The Marketing Department would have gone over his head in an effort to market the club over there.

Since summer 2011 when Wenger's grip on power began to weaken.
The summer pre-season tours to other continents are not part of Wenger's wishes.

Typical AKB prick. Clinging on to the cult of the leader like the Hitler youth in 1945 or the East German Youth Party in 1989.

Ah yes... that chap looks like a fully paid up member of the Cult of Arsene. I'd imagine when Wenger does leave (2020 anyone? Anyone...? :( ) that chap will hot tail it back to the rugby pronto! And I'd imagine he calls it "rugger", the fucking cúnt.
