My Transfer Targets

Post by All_Arsenal_1886 »

With the signings of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and Striker Eduardo da Silva i would still like 3 or 4 new signings, my main target would be Tevez but that seems to be fading a bit. My other targets would be Midfield winger Ryan Babel of Ajax and right back Micah Richards of Man City.

there are names we have been connected with like Obafemi Martins, Micheal Owen of newcastle, Curtis Davies of west brom and Bakari Sagna of Auxerre (who is reportedly close to a deal) which i think may improve the squad and i would be happy with their signitures, i would be VERY VERY happy with Tevez, Babel and Richards on our books :D

So whats yours :?:

Agree, but realistically don't think Tevez will happen now.

Curtis Davies looks like a possible given the need for a centre back with Kolo missing a month and possibility of Djorou going out on loan (rather it was phil).

Sagna seems to be the next likely signing, what I have heard seems good so we'll just have to wait and see.

Would like to see that extra bit of width though. Preference would be Drenthe and/or Quaresma but seems very unlikely.

I would feel more confident if David Dein was doing our transfers i never really relised how much we depended on him in the past  As the old saying goes "you don't know what you got 'til it's gone".

John Ley of the telegraph says another striker is likely to be signed, he is quite reliable when it comes to transfer rumours so does this mean Tevez or O.Martins will be signed up :D Fingers crossed

Tevez and Eduardo now that would be a treat.

Ben.

Ben. Ben. Ben.

Comments like that suggest ECD is slowly turning you to the dark side. The force is strong in you young man don't give in to evil.

Not sure if the selling Hleb or bring back Pennant is worse, but as you put them together you are committing a cardinal sin. Hleb just needs a little bit of tweaking (not nipples ECD) and he'll be a legend. Arsene works his magic and he'll be racing down the wing and shooting at every opportunity before you know.

Now wash your mouth out and consider yourself warned.

I don't know, IHH disappears for 5 minutes and his protege is going off the rails!

He is the sorcerors apprentice for sure!

However Im not sure Shaggy Scooby Doo Hleb will ever fly down any wing unless he was breathing thro an oxygen mask a few minutes previous!

Yes i see your point, but Hleb is not a winger by any means, and I think including Tubs aka Baptista he was one of the players i was most frustrated about. Poor passing and the fear to take defenders on frustrates me. Pennant is more of a winger to Hleb and he hardly looked bad in the champions league final and other times last season.

Well, which one is it? Is Young Ben Gooner my apprentice or I Hate Hleb's protege? Surely he can't be both - could he? :?

By the way, I have it on VERY GOOD AUTHORITY (seeming I was his campaign manager) that I Hate Hleb is currently conducting a one-man protest and is boycotting this forum.

Apparently, he is upset with gooner.ed's suggestion that Tony Saunders become the new moderator - despite Tony losing a democratic election for the position to I Hate Hleb!! :x

However, I'm hoping that, having taken a few days off, he will come back refreshed and eager to prove to gooner.ed that he made a big mistake. Can't promise, though. You know what the big fella's like. He can be a bit head-strong and when he makes his mind up about something he will not be moved!! :x

He will be pleased that his protege, YOUNG BEN GOONER-14, is performing admirably; poking the fire of controversy and representing himself and the rest of the I.H.H. crew with great distinction. Indeed, he has instructed me to tell Ben the following: "keep up the good work young man! I'm proud of you!"
