As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Trabsfermarkt.co.uk lists Hayden's as a Malleolar injury.
My guess is that was a result of landing awkwardly from a jump, not sure if in a game or training?
Arsenal had hoped 22-year-old midfielder Jack Wilshere would be back from an ankle injury in late January, but they will receive a setback with the news he will now be out until March. (Sun)

And there's a surprise.....
see you next season Jack...
He's shite!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always on the fence, sid. Say what you think, mate!!
As a medical practitioner, I am astounded by the number of injuries we have sustained over the past few seasons. Even more so this season with the new medic in charge.
However, a single new medic cannot bring about a radical change. This is down to training and erudite management of the players. I believe we bring our young players through far too quickly, and for some, their anatomy is simply not ready for the demands of a full season. Fabregas obviously was capable, Wilshere and Ramsey not. There must also be a problem with the way in which we assess players; why do we always seem to purchase the most injury prone players? I believe some of the players we have signed would not have passed medicals at other clubs, and I believe this is an age old problem at our club (eg, Edu and RVP). Our training regime is clearly not suited to the gradual strengthening of the players in a well defined process. Finally, the medical department does a poor job in the day to day management of the players.
As with everything else, what is clear to a fan, what is clear to the public, what is clear to the press, is not seen by anyone at the club!
Not so sure thats clear to The Press or many of our fans, they blame it all on bad luck, or scoop up the latest from pravda (The website)
Even if the fans understand some of what you mention they cant seem to put 2 and 2 together and link it to theres only one, who must retain a large part of the responsibility.
Biggest outrage of many for me this year was the way Ozils injury was left to the German FA to pick up. How can you send your most expensive player to play for the country with a sore knee that turns out to be a ligament that means hes off till late January.
Theres an awful lot to learn from other teams and sports - Ive heard it said that football in general miles behind in terms of sports injuries. Trouble is repeatedly AFC currently display a total lack of ability to learn or move on

When I read that paragraph on it's own... it just makes me angry that we could be so incompetent and negligent.

At which point he'll have a 'small setback' and be out until Christmas 2015.
Plenty of other top teams (with packed schedules) have had similar problems to us, but our weaknesses are more obviously exposed.
Aside from the medical care (or lack thereof), I think we suffer from having a small squad (quality-wise). When you've only got two centre-backs you'll always be tempted to put them back in the team after an injury sooner than you want to. A number of players have returned and not lasted the game.
Also, I suspect our overall stats are worsened by the resigning of players like Diaby. It's barely been announced that he's returned to training, when we hear that he's picked up a small strain in training and will be out for another six years.
