Anti-Wenger Protest

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can we get it back on track please.
Why do people get so anal about a casual football forum? Isn't that what happens with conversations - they flow and develop, and don't just stay in exactly the same place they were in when they started. And they're all about Arsenal FFS, so of course some of the topics are going to cross over.

Poor old Arsene eh? Mustnt upset harmless old Arsene.
After all hes 65 and has a family to feed. Cant be saying nasty words. Thats not the Arsenal way.

Just sit down and write a strongly worded letter. That'll do the job.

Your post is in response to a request for dignity and behaving like adults. Perish the thought protest should be organised and planed out.

I strongly believe all fans should write in, all letters have to be logged.

But that is not the sole idea; All along from the arsenalfcnotplc campaign I said efforts must be a twinning of social media, with on the ground protests,
But organised, focused and without the spite.
Leading to much more awareness in the mainstream media.

You are up against a slick PR machine who are organised enough to confiscate non offensive banners at away games.

And you think a few insults are going to work?

Good luck, you are going to need it!

I can understand where Quartz is coming from however i do think that a bit like a soldier if you put yourself out there you have to deal with the good and the bad, this is something i know about.

Wenger is very happy to accept the plaudits when they come for the good things but he needs to also accept the criticism no matter what shape it comes in, and that is something he is singularly unable to do.

His own statement about staying in the dugout at Stoke is probably one of the most cowardly things i've ever heard from a professional football manger in recent years

One other thing that is gripping my shit at the moment is all this 'we are a better class of fan bollocks', since when?

I'd defy any of you to tell me you have never heard our fans singing the exact same type of abuse at the opposition, other fans, officials etc, we might do it with more style but definitely not class, over the years our fans spilled as much claret and caused as much trouble across the country as nearly everyone else :barscarf:

"The better class of fan" thing is one I have put forward.

We have had our idiots like most clubs but we have much more responded to trouble rather than gone looking for it.

I have seen racism at our ground but not the large NF presence that Chelsea had.

Despite the likely abuse. This thread needs to get back to it's original purpose of being a place to talk about a possible protest. If it doesn't it will be merged with the other Wenger thread. Indeed we have people copying and pasting their own posts from one to the other. Pointless.

Oh and stop the thinly veiled threats as well please.

over 500 expected, blimey.

imho they shouldn't have told the OB - that CJA is a denial of our basic rights given to us under the Magna Carta - the right to peaceful assembly.

btw that list of "wengers worst defeats is shocking - i had forgotten about the loss to Braga etc

Some might think I am being Paranoid but I think this stinks to high heaven of interference by the club, if the protest cannot go ahead (legally) ie: with the agreement of the Pplod - What that does in essence is help slow the momentum of the opposition to Wenger and the growing tide of those who are willing to voice /demonstrate that they want Wenger Out!

I wouldn't put it beyond the realms of possibility that the club have 'ad a wrd in the ole shell like' of Plod and it has worked a treat....

We all know how difficult it is to actually motivate people enough to actually 'Do Something' - like make a Banner and walk along a set route - knowing that they will encounter opposition in various forms along the way.....

Typical stunt by Arsenal's PR (& H& S) if you ask me....

Bunch of crunts. :banghead:

Haha, 'told the OB' - no chance they did. AFC are currently monitoring all social media to understand what is going on - simple things like searching the hashtag #wengerout will tell them what they need to know - plus the Police liason (or whatever they are called now) will be doing the same thing - I suspect the organisers were directly contacted and told they could not organise such a large gathering with minimal notice - an east thing for the Met to justify.
