Arsenal's injury record has been savaged by Raymond Verheijen, the outspoken fitness expert and former Wales coach.

The Dutchman, who has worked with Holland, Barcelona and Manchester City among others, is a long-standing critic of training methods employed by Premier League managers, especially former Manchester United supremo David Moyes, whom he has branded a dinosaur.

He wrote: "Sad to read the news about yet another muscle injury for Aaron Ramsey. His injury record at Arsenal is simply shocking for such young player.

"Robin Van Persie is only 31 but more and more starts to look like an old man on pitch because of all damage done to his body during his Arsenal period.

"The same career-threatening process takes place at Arsenal with Ramsey, (Theo) Walcott, (Jack) Wilshire and (Alex) Oxlade-Chamberlain who are structurally injured

"Players who are injured season after season develop all kind of weak links inside the body so a vicious injury cycle develops during career.

"Thankfully, (Cesc) Fabregas was able to escape Arsenal after a few years so the amateurs in London did not get the chance to also destroy his body."

i'm not sure what grudge he could have against The Arsenal or wenger, but thats pretty shocking.

and spot on.
I think this says it all: "Arsenal are aware of Verheijen's accusations and criticism, but declined to comment on them."

Isn't it funny/strange how they somehow choose to ignore / avoid all the real issues and accusations - as if nothing has been said...bunch of c.unts. :banghead: :cussing:

please please let smudge or GG call him out on this :censored:
Hold on I'm confused. There was a successful club before Le Mug turned up
Funny as I remember Jose getting absolutely slaughtered back in 2007 by Chelski fans for his comment which was along the lines of "there wasn't much success before I came here".
And Jose was on point as they had just 1 league title in 50 years

What Wenker has said is an absolute disgrace. As pointed out could you imagine that nob beating a team like the old Parma of Asprilla, Brolin, Zola et al? He'd get battered and bitch about financial doping

What's worse here is that what this arse hole has said will go totally unchallenged by our fans. Week after week he's slowly trying to piss on our glorious history. Notice how he says before "I" came here "THEY" didn't have much success. (I suppose that makes Wenker a Spud fan for using "they" despite drawing £8m a year from us )

Our fans should be absolutely hammering him for this. Disgrace.
Truth is, I was far far happier watching any of Terry Neil (yes I mean that), Don Howe or obv GG teams. I'm disgusted by that comment by Wenker, at any other club the fans would have him by the balls for that. Here? A bunch of apologists will claim it's true - totally ignoring that over the past 10 years and considering the money at his disposal he is one of THE worst Arsenal managers.

Again, he's shitting in fans' mouths and telling them it's Godiva chocolate and to be grateful to him.
Then people have the cheek to talk about "class" when he gets a few verbals at a train station. What Wenger has just said there is absolutely classless, crass and an insult to previous great Arsenal managers. So next time he gets abuse, I wanna hear about "class@ again

And the "0" in there suggests a manager who knew how to still a defence or basically organise them
(Ok Howe was a bit yawn but I'd take Rioch over him now. Serious)

Howe walked because he realised he no longer had the backing of the fans. After just two years.
Remember that we finished 6th wasn't it under Howe? This was a period where we simply didn't have the means to financially compete with the Mousers and the Spuds had more cash than us. To me that's the equivalent of a club of our resources being 4th today! Like I said the footie might have been dire but we weren't expecting fireworks and Howe respected the fans. I have immense respect for him still today. And he left us Rocky and TA6.
When this fraudster leaves us we'll have Sanogo, Diaby and Chesney all on fat wages.
And unlike Howe, 10 years after Wenker resigns, in light of his disparaging comments I will forever view him as an arrogant, self-serving c*** who got rich off our backs.

Howe left cos the board went behind his back and tried to recruit venables as manager

You will get the chance to spit on the eventual statue as you walk by. However don't do it whilst the cameras are on otherwise you could end up as the Archway 2.

Yeah after Coventry (maybe was someone else?) board leaked they were gonna replace him with El Tel lol. Imagine that. But ultimately they'd never have sacked a manager who had the backing of the fans - and hence he walked.
I know the footeh was turgid but I have big respect for him, even bigger respect for GG...

Utter tripe .Howe walked when they told him his contract wasn't going to be renewed and that they were looking elsewhere for a manager .

Well duh, before you arrived only CHAMPIONS got in and there was no group stage. He's being completely dismissive of the club's history and setting himself up as the be-all and end-all.
It really is such an enormous blight on our proud history that we've never won the European Cup. Had we had won it under Graham, when it was a genuine Champions League, then the overpaid arrogant fraud wouldn't have dared mention that bullshit stat.

Yes. Yes, it most certainly is.

I'm not sure Wenger still wouldn't have found a way to belittle it though; something along the lines of: "it was easier to win when it was a knockout competition"

Being the shameless egotist that Wenger is you're probably right.
