Re: Newcastle at Home, like
I expect the broadcasters to pick on the empty seats this evening, I checked about 7pm last night and there were still a hundred or so tickets for sale on exchange. Add to that those that don't bother with the exchange when they miss games and there could be swathes of empties, despite the game being officially 'sold out' this morning.
Could this be a silent protest from the ticket holders? embarrass the club with a quarter empty stadium?

I especially love the part when he was asked about the fans criticism about him he replied (with not an ounce of irony) that "he doesnt care what others say because HE IS PAID TO WIN MATCHES" - I think the fact that you are winning fcuk all of them might have some part to play in the fans anger and frustration you dopey b.astard
Also find it amusing that he doesnt think that older players require coaching - in other words new formations or tactics dont need to be coached and when your defence continually makes a bollox of themselves, there is still no need to coach them

Looking forward to Christmas piss up on Holloway Rd with my Arsenal mates after the match.
As for the game...fuck knows.
I'm guessing we go 2 down, lots of dissent...we pull one back just before half time which is then greeted with lots of boos.
Wenger rallies the troops with "keep playing your football"....we do lots of side way passing, tippy tappy bollocks...lots more discontent...on 70mins wenger decides to make a tactical change(?) and chucks on whatever attacking option is on the bench...we start showing some urgency, the Geordies realise that they are actually shit and start to panic...we equalise in the last 10 mins....then Alexis continues his one man mission to keep wengers job and grabs an injury time winner....3-2 to The Arsenal and the jammy bastard breathes again.
I then get smashed and spend the evening moaning about Wenger, the board, Arsenal and modern football.

He also says part of the word 'supporter' includes support.
Yes, I support the club but I far from support the actions and decisions made by our delusional, clueless manager.

i like the selective reasoning - "we've won 4 of the last 5, stoke was a blip...." errrr no - you've also won 4 of the last 8

How could you forget my special favourite - "there are two transfer markets - one internal and one external" or a touch of the old "special circumstances" after the 2011 League Cup final defeat. Special mention to Gervinho who "saved us from dizzying prices"Ikechukwu1 wrote:There's loads of othersclockender1 wrote:this is the most naive stupid thing i've heard any football manager ever say (even mark hughes) :mcdowell42 wrote:http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... hy-4801237
WTF. seriously .But there is not a massive difference between right-back and centre-back.”
the guy is now full on 100% senile. has to be.
"Captaincy is overrated"
"Defending is the easiest thing to do"
"We don't plan for the opposition"
Why are you surprised? I think it's mental to put Debuchy up against Cisse and the Spanish kid. There's a HUGE difference between a CB and LB. That's why Jose always wants his full-backs to be around Ashley Cole's size and wants his CB as monsters like Cahill. Imagine playing Evra, Winterburn or Cafu at CB.
It's up there as one of the most retarded clueless things he's ever said. For a guy who shows off about 30 yrs experience...pfffft
In midfield we are much stronger than them (with Sissoko out) but if Papiss has a good game it'll be at least 2 conceded

Speaking of the Mekon; BBC gossip reported him as saying he "hates" the way he wa treated by Wenger and now "hates the club".SteveO 35 wrote:How could you forget my special favourite - "there are two transfer markets - one internal and one external" or a touch of the old "special circumstances" after the 2011 League Cup final defeat. Re: Newcastle at Home, like
I'm sure Debuchy is thrilled to bits to be playing centre back in a makeshift defence. After all, that's why he signed isn't it and you always pick one of your smallest players to play there, don't you?
