THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

They're Hale & Pace, Ed. They were teachers (I think) who became a comedy double-act and found some fame over here in the 90s.

Hale and Pace were quite funny for a while in the 90's was never cool to say you liked them though during the Ben Elton left wing alternative comedy era of that time though

LOL, I was 99% sure that this smaller guy is Harry Enfield. I watched his show maybe 10 years ago though... I'm a big English comedy fan but never seen Hale&Pace before. Wait a minute... quick look into Wikipedia tells me that their show has been aired here under the name of "Funny Boys", so I have seen that during the 90's I think.

I used to love Hale & Pace. I miss tv from the good ol' days, Minder, Dempsey & Makepeace, Only Fools, The A-Team, Knightrider, The Fall Guy, Magnum PI, McGyver. Compared to the reality sh1te her indoors rots her mind watching these days television really has gone down the jacks.

interesting interview with Jenko, about how he has progressed under sam allardyce :

Jenkinson is learning plenty of new things at West Ham then and he feels he has improved under Allardyce. “He’s been absolutely brilliant,” Jenkinson says. “I didn’t want to go on loan to a team that was just going to kick the ball long. I wanted to go to a team where I was going to learn and improve and I think I’m definitely doing that here at West Ham. We focus on defending in training and we do a lot of work on one-v-ones and heading and I feel I’ve developed in those areas. He’s given me the licence to get forward and express myself. I know what I’m capable of.”
so a defender is lauding focusing on defending at West Ham.....

doesn't that just say it all about how shite our preparation is ? that one of our players is getting better coaching from sam fucking allardyce ???????

:banghead:

it would be flipping ironic if we sell him to west ham and he goes on to keep Chambers out of the England Team.

our 'manager' is a complete joke.
