The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

5Live are reporting that the clueless bastard will be palmed off on loan to another Prem club in January.

We can hope.

Hilarious - who would take him with his 1 in 19 record ?

Arsene PLC are being very very optimistic if they think he'll get a starting spot anywhere above the League One.

even if he is at no cost, who is going to risk starting a non firing striker in the 2nd half of the year when promotion, or relegation is at stake ?

i'd bet he goes nowhere or back to France on deadline day.

Good news for Pod though

A manager who takes a chance on Sanogo and gets relegated will get it thrown back at him.

I can imagine fan call ins in May 2015:

"When you needs goals to stay in the division, why did Mr X sign a player who has a 1 goal in 19 games?, He's a clueless mug and I want him out!!!!!!!"

In any case he should have been on loan last year, rather than having to watch him literally find his feet on the football pitch.

More Nicklas Bendtner than Nicolas Anelka.

You could see when he scored the first goal today, suddenly they came raining. I especially liked the third goal he scored, it was really the goal of a striker of quality.

Wenger admits Sanogo will take time to find full fitness, but the Gunners boss says the youngster’s raw talent was enough to convince him to bring him to the Emirates.“For me it will take six months or so of work before we really see what he can do.”
http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ger-bayern
"Sanogo will surprise you," Wenger said. "He has not made the headlines because he is not 50-100 million pounds but I am quite confident he will make them."
Clueless at his clueless best.
His disciples must be devastated about this, he was the future, the messiahs pet project.
I remember the reaction around me at the grove when he stubbed his toe and accidently scored against Dortmund.
The wobs were stunned into disbelief, but the akb's all had a smug 'told you so' expression.

After 1.5 years of a 4 year contract , he has been fit for perhaps 10 games ?
1 competitive goal that's $ 2.3 million Quid for that goal !
He will get loaned out for way way less than we pay him and he will probably get injured too .
But if it stops le duffer selling podolski then can take it but knowing him he will sell 1 and loan 1 out to pay for another 3rd rate defender !

Perhaps West brom, Hull (and Leicester). Cannot see any others being remotely interested in him.
