Team hotel

Team hotel

Post by jased »

Hi was wondering if anyone knows where the team usually stay before a home game? Taking my young son over from Ireland as Christmas pressie & would love for him to get a chance of a photo of any of the team. He doesn't get over that often & last time I arranged a trip for his birthday the match was changed to a Monday night due to sky & we missed the match as had flights already booked. Would be really grateful if anyone could advise, cheers J :barscarf:

Well it used to be Sopwell House in St Albans but I have no idea if they still go there. Working there sometimes on a Saturday afternoon I was amazed by some of the cars parked there. It's been used by international teams as well and they have a lot of framed signed shirts on display. It's not far from the training ground.

It is known, no longer Sopwell House, but if you are a genuine fan coming over from Ireland I would absolutely not waste your time taking a young son down to the hotel or the training ground because their security will ensure you will not be anywhere near the team and he will be disappointed and cold.

Best to go to a game then after the game wait with the crowds near the car park exit on Hornsey Road and you will catch a glimpse of players driving out of the ground...if their cars do not have tinted windows that is, or walk up the ramp next to the car park where you can look through the side of the car park and see a glimpse of the players getting into their cars.

Personally I would suggest a more productive thing to do is to go a game plus go on a tour of the stadium, and if you have already done that then maybe a tour of Wembley stadium too?

NOTE: Where they stay is not widely publicised and I will delete any posts mentioning the name of the hotel and ban the person who posts it.
No disrespect but no way of knowing if this is a genuine Arsenal fan or someone seeking to disrupt the team's sleep!
