Clarke Carlisle

Post by Bradywasking »

It is only right to extend our best wishes to Clarke Carlisle following the horrific accident that left him with serious injuries. These things seem more poignant at Christmas time and we can only hope he makes a full recovery. As a person he seems smarter than the average footballer , I remember an article he wrote or was quoted in where he said he was astounded to see Peter Beardsley load dirty kit on the team bus while youth players sat on the bus on their top of the range mobile phones.

I concur - never a good time to have an accident, but at christmas it always seems much worse.
Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery 8)

Horrible time of year and best wishes to him and family. A man who has battled with demons and attempt d suicide before walking in front of a lorry on the A64, might well not be an accident.

Without wishing to seem insensitive this was my first thought too. I wish him & his family well at this difficult time.

Wasn't aware of that - hope he is ok, he has been used as a commentator on talksport recently and his views and opinions were well articulated and in Arsenal 's case bang on the money.

Hope he fully recovers. I doubt the drink/driving charge will aid his recovery but no doubt the full story will be heard.
