QPR - Home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have to say Welbeck is not your RVP. Alexis Sánchez is your 30+ goal scorer. Welbeck works extremely hard for he team and will if played in the central position score you 10-15 goals a season. I say it's good business for 16M for his age.

Welbeck looks impressive at times and is always pretty industrious but it seems fairly obvious that his strike rate is never going to be anywhere near good enough. Which is why he was utilised by Ferguson as a last-gasp 'we need a goal so I'm putting every attacking player on the pitch and hoping the opposition fold' option.

And despite his goal yesterday im fucking furious that Rosicky was given a farcical bumper two year deal last season by virtue of being a Wenger favourite.

Truly a day to be proud to be a Gooner. What amazing spirit to hold off big bad Bobby Zamora and chums.....With such dominating defenders I remain supremely confident that the VT will proudly be on display once more in May.

I do not fucking understand why Rosicky is not played WAY more often. He's clearly class and works hard defensively and offers drive going forward. Honestly thought Rosicky and Cazorla looked the best of all our CM combinations this year so far.

And hats off to Alexis and Cazorla for working hard when we went down to 10.

Ref was a c.unt.

-Never a pen against Debuchy, he got all ball.
-BFG was fouled in the their box for another pen.
-Gibbs fouled Zamora, that should have been a pen.
-Rio fucking Ferdinand grabbed Giroud's neck in an extremely violent manner after he "headbutted" their player, right in front of the ref and NOTHING was said about it. Watch the fucking replay...the 5 people I was watching the game with (not even Arsenal supporters) all said Rio's offense was worse than Giroud's.

My view for what it's worth as someone there. Sanchez,awesome...what must he think. Giroud....taken me 24 hours to calm down. Egotistical twat, did fuck all apart from showboat flicks and then the cuntiest reaction to getting knocked over....when he ran to touchline after getting sent off fastest the prick had moved all afternoon :banghead:

do these jokers have police powers of stop and search or something? what if the members had said "get stuffed, if you want a membership card go buy your own?"
Dunno what powers stewards have but at Sunlun last season a few Stewards moved in behind us to move or eject a couple gooners. I took a snap or two with my phone. One of the stewards was pissed off and confronted me about it

"Delete those photos or I'll have you arrested" (Thats exactly what he said)

He called over a cop (who was much more polite and seemed a bit embarrassed that he had to do it) but the outcome was he waited there until the steward was happy that I had deleted the pics off my phone with any yellowcoats on.

So looks to me like the cops do what they're told by the stewards.

Cant remember now what the cop said. ( I did have a few bevvies in me by then) but I think I recall him saying something about the freedom of information act. Although Im probably wrong.
In fairness to the cop he did want to try to explain why they were making me delete photos but at the time I wasnt in the mood for chatting so I just deleted them and went back to my seat. (and stood)
Sunderland stewards are notorious for their prickery.
