The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

So now the window has opened (almost, ish) its no longer a 'joke' but a reality

Bye bye Pod - long may you keep banging the goals in wherever you end up. I'm sure you'll fondly remember being behind Akpom and Sanogoals in the pecking order and the 'education' you received from Lord Wenker in playing left wing back

Such a shame if Poldi goes he is a real talent and never been given a run in the team or in his right position same as Arshavin and Ozil too.

Poldi seems to love Arsenal too

Agreed. The only thing I'd add is that I don't think Podolski would ever have shown his best under this tired 4-5-1 that Wenger rigidly sticks to.

So why buy a player that doesn't fit your system ? Or why not change your system to suit the strength's that your players have.

Busted Flush - Wenker Out.

This obviously wasn't considered as part of Operation Bury Head in Sand when Wenger pretended van Persie wasn't going despite clear evidence to the contrary.

Exactly: £11m wasted on a good player who would have excelled in the early Wenger teams but who was practically surplus to requirements as soon as he walked through the door.

Panic Stations Fc are going to make a tidy 15 mil from whoever Wenger thinks will be the difference between 4th or not.

Queue scattergun approach for 9 small attacking midfielders, each valued by their club at £25m and for whom we bid £6m.

It's a dam shame about Podolski. I don't rate his all round game but his finishing can be lethal. You simply HAVE to play him in a 2 up front. Welwide and Giroud are mediocre. A 2 of Giroud/Podolski coulda been sthg. Never given a fair crack of the whip, yet his French baby Giroud gets constant starts and a new contract despite hotel-gate etc.
Said all along it's clear Wenker wants nobody to disrupt his precious Giroud French project, he's protected him by bringing in Poldi and then casting him aside, and as he admitted himself, Wenker never wanted to bring Welwank in. Wanted him on loan, to be sent back later.
I also found Wenker comments about "farcical" transfer bids hilarious. I won't mention £40m + 1, or the £1.5m for Schwarzer when Fulham wanted 2, or the laughable £6m bid for Kostsas Manolas
Funny how it's alright for him to take the piss, making derisory offers and lowball other clubs!

The way he treated Podolski is the same way as he treated Arshavin. He brought them here to ruin their career.

So it's official, Stevie Me off to the MLS at the end of the season. So that's a transfer to San Diego Soccer Moms FC and immediately loaned out to Abu Dhabi Oil Inc. for the season.
