Southampton away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The OX, Rosicky seemed to switch sides all the time and we just didn’t seem to know what to do when not in possession .
More than ever we look like 11 random players thrown on with no game plan whatsoever.
When we did get it down the wings we mostly had 1 or 2 people under 6 foot in the box and the threat was easily dealt with by the big lumps at the back 4
Southamption .
They double teamed Sanchez and OX who ran all day into dead ends with no outlets !
Conversely Southampton who looked alert, and highly organised were made to look like world beaters and some more clinical
finishing would have seen 5 or 6 go in .

It seems that Wenger has lost the plot the dressing room and semblance of self respect !
Exactly as I saw it - we were spared a mauling by woodwork and goal-line clearances. If someone asked you to describe our style of play, I think all I could offer up would be 'random'. We have enough individually talented players to win games against shit teams on our day but up against the top four or five sides in the PL or anyone decent in Europe we consistently fail and the evidence grows with each sorry defeat. The 10 minute spell that followed their second goal was like watching the first half debacle at Stoke - I turned to my lad and said 'this could be five or six' and to be honest it very easily could have been.

The Saints fans were still on edge at the end and that worked its way into their players who seemed determined to contain the 2-0 towards the end......but we were there for another five goal plus mauling if they'd really pressed on

“I am disappointed because there was at least a draw in the game, and if we were better defensively we could have won it. We have given a lot, I cannot fault the attitude of the team but we were again haunted by the ghost of what we seen since the start of the season.”

Yes mate - the fucking ghost of Christmas past, present, and sadly the future too......YOU, you useless tossbag
