In the modern game you cant carry lazy players.I dont blame Wenger for selling him i blame Wenger for signing him.£110k a week a bad joke.

Gutted about this he had potential to be a great player at arsenal but he wasn't given enough opportunity IMO

Another playing out of position Wenger failure :banghead:

I'm going to miss Podolski

The senile old tosser did the same with Arshavin and is doing the same to Ozil.

Welbeck and Giroud are now both bound to get injured, a day after he releases the Postman on a loan deal.

Have Ipswich got any strikers they want to sell ?

Am i the only person to feel that Podolski is being slightly disrespectful by arriving in Milan for talks already draped in the Milan colours?

As its only a loan, I can guarantee you that Arsenal are still picking most of his 100k a week salary.

Italian clubs don't pay big money any more. Ill bet Inter are contributing 20k a week, max.

Thus, we are down a goal scorer, and paying 80k a week for the privilage.

This is pure speculation on my part but seeing AW operate, strikes me as being realistic.

Seeing as he's joining Inter as opposed to Milan, I'd say it's stupid - not disrespectful. 8)

Bit daft I must admit especially given our ability to bungle a deal

I was delighted when we signed Lukas and I think he's a top bloke, but he has been a disappointment for me.

A top finisher.YES.

A top striker. NO.

He's not fast enough, doesn't like the physical contact and thereby doesn't hold the ball up well and can't dribble.
Also, he has been lazy on the pitch, watching players run past him without making any effort to go with them.

He'd played as a wide attacker plenty of times for his clubs and country and I thought he would fulfill that role for us.

Could we afford to play two up front, with Giroud doing the donkey work and Poldi hanging around for chances? I doubt it. Possibly with a diamond in midfield and fullbacks that don't cross the halfway line, but this is hardly a flexible system either.

I wish him well, but he has to shoulder his share of the responsibility for his disappointing time with us.
