THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

These guys are an example of everything that is wrong with the media. Happy to criticise, but will be there to lick Wenger's ass when we beat some shit team. Look at Paul Merson, is very critical of Wenger, but only a few weeks later, is saying that Wenger is a great manager, and is now back to criticising again. How about having a view and sticking to it, its wankers like this that allow Wenger to never be under pressure.

Merson is the biggest c u n t slop of the lot. He'll tear us apart if we lose tomorrow, but if anyone dares show a banner or heaven forbid say a naughty word on a YouTube clip then he'll be saying 'they need to be careful what they wish for'. What I wish for is Sky to fire the Chavski loving prick

They're all the same. Although Merson is the most obvious #flipflopper/turncoat wanker of the whole lot. Probably because hes a fukin brain-dead idiot. Must say I loved him when he played for us and couldnt believe Wenger sold him right after he won players player of the year.

Remember one of the fools on Sky (cant remember which one) actually called those of us who who had displayed banners at games - "morons". Fukin fuming after that I was. Stupid lazy cliche spouting bastards.

Charlie Nick and Merson were very critical on sky today - meson kept saying that le cock was "out-tactic'd" ( didn't know there was such a word :? ). Either Charlie or Merson stated that wenker is looking at our problems but doesn't know how to fix them - nice little dismissal of the man's managerial abilities 8)

Merson is a cretin. Occasionally says some salient and fairly insightful things but invariably followed up by stuttering some contradictory bollocks. Will absolutely slaughter 'Arsenal' if we lose but one of Wengers most passionate defenders.

Merson was bemoaning the same things back in 2009/10 that we are still now - lack of keeper, defensive midfield presence etc. somebody needs to slap the prick and remind him that it's wengers fault those areas haven't been addressed.

I've been one of Merse's biggest advocates but I'm with SteveO on this, guy us a cretin. After the Anderlecht game, Merse was all over Le Cock. Then the infamous Stoke Three, and it was all "be careful what you wish for"
Pfffffft

Mind you he isn't alone. Dixon, totally gutless. Winterburn, even worse. Seaman was on the other day about how Wenker is irreplaceable. I love Henry but just you watch the Wenker love-in once he takes his seat in the Sky studio. If you thought the others were bad, Thierry is angling for that job at Arsenal...

Would have been a merse supporter up to his last flip flop turn, but have no time for him now - I really thought that he would be more likely to criticise le cock after being publicly dismissed by the French p.rick, but he cowered down like the beeatch that he is  Of course you could argue that a man of any decent level of intelligence would be inscensed by wenker publicly slating him, but Merson is too stupid to realise that he has been ridiculed by wenker

I loved him as a player - he was genuine class: but I have to concur that just about everything he utters nowadays is suspect.

Make your fucking mind up man.

And therein lies the issue...you want change..then tell the bowl to shove it and dont go...watch it on the box! Empty seats...the only solution!!!
NO

I used to think that telling people not to go was the answer as well. I now don't believe it is.
If you remove the people who are prepared to boo then they are replaced with sanitised muppets who are just happy to sit there (to be honest it is happening anyway)

The more committed Arsenal fans at the bowl the better.
Hound the old :censored: out!
So I don't go and do what then? Silent majority ? Fucking fed up so going and booing. Yes, my sad little protest but what are you going to do?
:cussing:
Watch it on TV? So what? Have had loads of requests for my season tickets for tomorrow from happy clappers....so I don't go, they go and smile and sit silently and fuck all happens. Do me a favour :cussing: :cussing:
Of course you can sit and boo much to wenger and stan's amusement.....paying through the nose to boo.....let the happy clappers in if they want to...you cant and wont change the situation...but your better off with a grand in your back pocket!!

I'm convinced now that nothing will change, it's all been said on here numerous times, i really think short of something fatal he will see out his contract.

I'd love to see our PL managers contract and the part that covers gross incompetence, i mean what would it actually take to sack Wenger and not have to pay him his remaining contract?

I know that if i showed the level of incompetence that he shows in my job i wouldn't be paid to the end of my contract, i'd be sacked under a months notice.

Happy New Year btw all :barscarf:

These guys respect Wenger for what he did for them and still have to actually meet him from time to time, there is such as thing as tact.

Dixon in Amy Lawrence's book has subtly criticised Wenger's defensive coaching without openly criticising it...diplomatic skill there from our fourth most capped player.

Said Wenger did not coach defence but set up an atmosphere where good defensive skills were passed on, his example was of how Cole was mentored by Adams.

Of course, these skills have by now largely dissipated, and we can read between the lines.....

One mans tact is another mans cowardice quartz - Dixon is a pundit now and as such he is paid to give an honest analysis of what he see's, and if he is afraid to do so then he should consider a career change :x

Keown and Wright are the most honest pundits/ex-players of ours.

I wish Tony Adams were more vocal - who has more clout than he among Arsenal fans?

It's a fine line between being honest and having your cosy privileges at the bowl rescinded by the men in suits.
