FA Cup 3rd round other matches

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I love how bt and bbc are desprate to hype up the magic of "FA Cup weekend".

thanks to them fa cup weekend has been extended to cover friday the 2nd to monday the 5th and all 3pm kick-offs were dull as adrian chiles' dishwater. what a fucking travesty this competition has been turned into. all the big sides play on sunday or monday and no wonder it's treated as a fucking inconvenience. what weird cun.t wants to spend a day off work travelling to burnley on a fucking monday afternoon?

never have I been as bored by the FA Cup as this weekend.
what the BBC and BT Sport failed to recognise is that the "magic of 3rd round day" was just that - the day

the day when you get 32 matches all being played together and the possibility of 1 or 2 giant killings.
spreading out over a number of days is just ridiculous. it is like spreading out Christmas Day - have turkey one day, christmas pudding another and then on day 3 maybe open some presents. it wouldnt work! Liverpool fans being asked to travel to south London for a Monday evening game which is live on TV is just stupid and I am not sure I want to spend the evening watching that shit either.

Anybody see James Shea's pathetic limp-wristed falling-over effort to stop Gerrard's fairly tame free-kick?

Never tell he came through the Arsenal Goalkeepers' Clown Academy would you?

Liverpool got away with it tonight..very lucky. Commentators didn't ***** over Stevie's pass to an opponent on the edge of his own area. Cup final on his birthday, some say it is written in the stars that he goes out a winner .. :banghead: :banghead: I fear that it will be written in the instructions not the stars.
