It was either him or Walcott and Hleb was definitely better at retaining the ball and creating - his close control is among the best I've ever seen. I also think he'd serve Henry and Van Persie better than Walcott.

Agree about his close control, and he was a fantastic dribbler, but the problem was he did very little with the ball for my money. I expected more from an £11m player.

Walcott - for all his faults - at least scores.

Hleb was the most frustrating player I've ever seen. Bags of technical ability but NEVER any end product. He only dribbled in circles, hardly ever shot and scored fuck all. He'd go past one player, past a second, do a half circle and go past another, shot would be on, he'd go another half circle and beat another player and pass it back 40 yards to one of our CHs.

The Emirates Era Best XI for me:

------------------Lehmann--------------
Gibbs----Toure------Koscielny---Sagna
--------Fabregas------Nasri---------
Sanchez------------------------Cazorla
------Van Persie--------Henry------

Nasri was better during his time at Arsenal than Ramsey at this moment in time in my opinion.

Perhaps, but he obviously wouldn't be better than Ramsey at CM.
