MAN CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Exactly - not playing wonderfully well but it's more likely the Arsenal that I grew up watching 8) :barscarf:

Ox has been iffy imo and giroud has been dogshite

Good first half but it's all for nothing if we don't keep it up

I think it's quite funny actually. Gives him nice little support I guess. Chesneys name is so fucking hard to spell that you can't make any kind of chant out of it and secondly, he doesn't deserve any chants.

Playing very well , think Santi is excellent. Ox really does need to concentrate, Bellerin overloaded on a few occasions. Ramsey, in my opinion, is an accident waiting to happen today. He wants too much on the ball , after the goal we got an excellent break but he was too greedy or indecisive . Kompany way off the pace and now on a yellow..a good tactical manager would expose that. But excellent so far.

This is exactly how the chavs have played over the years against the top teams and its brought them success, nothing to be ashamed of here, its about acknowledging that your opponents are too good to take for granted and that defense is the best from of defense

Was thinking about him during the match... I think he has actually been quite ok so far. At least, a big improvement to Flamini.

Bet it cuts Szczesny like a knife whenever he hears it.
Then it is worthwhile. Szczesney needs to realise that he is entitled to nothing. He can earn it and i think he can be an ok keeper but he needs to stop believing in himself so much.

Really good 1st half, City struggling to break us down, and attacking at the right moments. My only worry is that the longer the game goes on, the more we will get sucked towards the box, and start kicking the ball everywhere.

Need to slow it down and make it an ugly game. Something which we're not particularly good at though.

Defensive shape seems to have gone for some reason. Wide open now
