THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Soooooooo......

You come on to moan about the fact we are a bunch of moaners, on a day when nobody is moaning?

Right?

It's hilarious, but I for one had a great day, great atmosphere in the pub.
I'm buzzing for next Sunday.

It's not quite as hilarious as your rather poor attempts at WUMing though, do try harder.

Y'know, wanting Wenger out and enjoying Arsenal winning are not mutually exclusive.

The day is irrelevant, Had a few beers and had a look over last few pages of this thread and see its the same as it was when i stopped posting. Whether I post after a win a draw or a loss is not the point I think. I'm still, of course, for Arsene and remain of the same view I always have been and wil be.

You can tell it really hurts some of these idiots having to give the team or manager even one iota of credit, so funny

Excellent result, buzzing tonight finally beat one of the big boys away in a very disciplined performance :barscarf:

Steve_I i'd just like to ask why you weren't posting when results were nowhere near as good? :rubchin:

you obviously don't read too well kiddo, 99% are giving huge credit to the team tonight.

as to wenger, what credit does he deserve bearing in mind the last 16 games against the top 4 - praise for finally doing the job he's exhorbitently paid to do ? and where was your criticism of him after stoke, united and southampton ?

or is it just a one way street with you guys ? - keep quiet when we lose, but 'soggy biscuit' when we win ?

i've just read wongas post match comments :banghead:

he thinks it was the back two CB partnership

no arsene, no it wasn't. it was the exceptional effort from nacho, bellerin, coq, ox, caz and alexis FFS

:censored: idiot.

That really is one of Le Cocks major flaws either he struggles to give credit where credit is due, or he actually is unable to see where it is due, either way it is a really poor character flaw for a professional football manager!

Not impressed with his comments about Thierry either, Thierry says some mild criticism which was spot on and Wenger bites back totally dismissively.

One could argue the formation/shape saw us through as opposed to individual performances. We did a job on them and didn’t allow them any space in which they could damage us.

They had so much useless possession (sound familiar); but that, as any Gooner knows, counts for fuck all if you don’t, or can’t, do anything with it.

It was a similar spoiling job that others employ at our place, and it worked a treat. I thought there were no passengers out there today and everyone can feel proud of their display.

The only question I have is: why has it taken Wenger so long to set us up is such a fashion? Which mauling was the straw that broke the camel’s back and convinced him to actually try to negate the opposition?

I was Muzz and the fickleness some folk show by reacting to my post after a good result shows, to me, how shallow some folk are. I posted regularly after defeats, wins, good and bad performances and if people want to get wound up by the fact i have posted specifically today then I guess, in that respect I have wound them up and am therefore a 'wum'. lol

I happened to look today for the second or third time since i stopped posting. I noticed it was the same roundabout sad arguments and insightless comments that it ever was and will sod off again for another year and leave the small unhapy few to themselves.

One win against a big team away from home after years of misery & AKBs think he's exonerated  Talk about desperate.

If we were going to win away to any of the big boys it was always going to be against Al-City. Pellegrini is one of the few top class managers Wenger's got a winning record against.
