As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Kos is good enough, as long as he has someone else to cover for him when he forgets to track back. Per is the same.
i never understand why we go for foreign CB's from less physical leagues - france, spain etc as they take so long to settle.
i can't believe theres NO ONE in the championship that could be coached up like Bould, Pallister after a year or two down there...
They play on the counter-attack and are very organised in defence. I can't say any particular player stood out for me (but I was in the bar) though they seem very comfortable withstanding pressure and they've conceded less than a goal a game.
My mates don't have a strong view of Paulista other than he's quick and aggressive.
I'm happy for us to sign him but, with Kos and BFG not getting any younger and susceptible to injuries, I think we should be looking for another CB, a more known quantity. Reid might be OK.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has no concerns over the competition for places at the Emirates, insisting it will prove a huge asset over the remainder of the season.
We have strength in depth, so cheer up you miserable bastards
Lyon hold SECRET transfer talks over Arsenal and Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette
The 23-year-old France international is wanted by Arsenal and Liverpool, while PSG are also keeping tabs on him in case they let Edinson Cavani leave.
Lacazette is top scorer in Ligue 1 with 20 goals this season and was also linked to Manchester City last month before the Premier League champions signed Wiflried Bony from Swansea.

Do our scouts even look in the lower leagues?
Come to think of it, do they actually know we have lower leagues?

That's a bit unfair I think. Didn't we spend something like £15m on the then League One Ox? Jenks and Wally were also lower leaguers, Kos too technically.
Go back further and Upson was poached from . . . Luton?

But Kos only became good enough eventually, initially he was woefully out of his depth, being run ragged by Jason Roberts I believe, hardly a world beater.
This guy may have potential but like Chambers, may flounder if too much is expected of him.
We need ready to go now, to secure 3rd / 4th and to give us a chance in progressing in the Champions League beyond the expected quarter final ko

Grauniad report Madrid stating he's not going anywhere; probably in an effort to drive his price even higher.
