BRIGHTON AWAY - FA Cup 4th Round

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

+ Southampton. Now don't stuff it up which means leaving "The Boy Wonder" on the bench. OK, bring him on when we are 3 up !!. :barscarf: :barscarf:

I had a funny feeling we were going to do well last weekend and I have a funny feeling we are going to fuck this up today. Yesterday's results are going to give the Brighton lads a lot of confidence. :(

only three PL sides have made it through so far - fatigue ? not taking it seriously ? who knows ? but definitely the possibility of a cupset, especially if the idiot in charge tinkers with the line up rather than building on last Sundays performance......

That is the fear, but it should also concentrate the Arsenal minds

As long as the team use their own tactics and not what wenger tells them to do - We'll be okay.

Is taking the mickey (itself called a racist term) the same as being 'phobic' or 'cist'.

How are 'does your boyfriend know you're here?', or 'your houses are really tidy!!' constitute homphobia?

I'm sure we've all taken the piss out of oppostion supporters who are bald, or fat, out of Stoke fans for incest, Victims for eating out of bins and being thieves, etc etc etc.

Referring to , and even taking the piss out of, something is not the same as discriminating against it.

Let's lighten up.

Szczesny, Chambers, Koscielny, Monreal, Gibbs, Flamini, Walcott, Ramsey, Ozil, Rosicky, Giroud

Caz Sanchez Mert rested as is Ospina ( )

Don't understand why Coq isn't there either- seems a risky side TBH

Szcz is either dropped, or he isn't - can't understand Ospina's omission. Monreal is always a worry at centre-half and Ramsey/Flamini doesn't fill me with confidence either.

Front line looks like it will cause them problems though.

Does that mean Szeczney is now officially 2nd choice and therefore FA Cup goalkeeper (hope so), other wise Monreal apart that is a pretty strong team.

This is not the game to rest players. This competition is eminently winnable and we have no midweek gMe either side.

Szcz looks like the no2 now. FA Cup keeper. Good I say. Don't want to see him too often. Sanchez needs a rest. Not sure what the problem with the team is.

Suppose the subs make up for it, possibly suggests Ospina injured (Or I guess upset at being left out :? )

Martinez, Mertesacker, Bellerin, Coquelin, Cazorla, Alexis, Akpom

Who is captain :?

we're going to miss coq and caz.

this just shows wonga has learnt nothing and Sunday was indeed a fluke.

we need a big performance from Wally today or its going to be 0-0 or worse - Rosicky cannot drive the team on, on his own.
