As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Last season Wolfsburg bought de bryune for 25m (or thereabouts), and now they are about to pay 23m for schurle ?? Who in gods name would pay that amount for two average/poor players ? In a ffp era it does seem suspicious to me that the chavs (who are desperately trying to cook/balance the books so that they can spend big) can sell two players for grossly inflated fee's to the same buying club
CSKA and Chelsea (obviously) but I don't know about Wolfsburg (I'll google it).
Surprised you don't rate Schurrle as I've been impressed by what I've seen.
Mirror reporting that Gabriel flew to Paris today to complete the legal formalities of his transfer & speed up the work permit process.

I rate Schurrle although he is a bit of a luxury player imo and his ability has been exaggerated by coming on for the likes of Germany and Chrlsea when they're pushing forward against tired and inferior opposition.
The principle is the same as de Bruyne though - Chelsea bought him, barely played him and yet his value has supposedly shot up? Although tbh that's what happens when there are so many clubs who chuck cash about, the likes of Wolfsburg who have money but aren't a big name will pay well over the odds for offcuts.

The Asian Cup semi final was played last night at my local ground (home of my Newcastle Jets). Aus beat UAE 2-0 BUT I witnessed one of the best players I've ever seen - the guy is a freak - Omar Abdulrahman! I know we have a lot of creative midfielders but mark my words - this guy is going to be a superstar. 23 yo and sublime on the ball, slick running with it, incredible passing and vision. We should buy him!

I remember being very impressed by him in the 2012 Olympics as well. Needs to move to a European side first before being judged further.

His wiki page says he had a 4 yr contract with Man City that didn't get over the line due to visas etc??
Having watched him live I have no doubt he would waltz into our first team.
Could also do worse than Trent Sainsbury (Zwolle in the Dutch prem) as a CB.
Oz scout out.
According to the Sun............. ARSENE WENGER will test Barcelona’s resolve to keep Luis Suarez., now I don't like the man as a person but I would be happy to see him play for us, he is a goal machine, he would have to wear a muzzle though

great more massively overpaid deadwood, dont get me wrong Arteta was a great signing (in desperation) and has been decent for us be as a premier league player he is finished,no pace,no strength, needs moving on asap,we are very vulnerable when he plays
