Our 'esteemed' Chairman
Our 'esteemed' Chairman
a nice little pep talk at the end of the Season a la Young Mr. Grace in 'Are You Being Served' ?
Or a plethora of pompous self justifying bullshit ?
Do supporters really come up to Hill-Wood tugging their forelocks and saying how grateful they are that he's in charge ?

No, but you can spot him outside the stadium having a sneaky cigarette (I have seen this with my own eyes).

We're not gonna be like Mansfield whose fans have just beaten up their owner.
I sincerely hope not too. But that wasn't the point of my post.
Hill-Wood used (PAST TENSE) to be quite a good Chairman because he followed the dictum that's it's better to keep quiet and be thought a fool, than speak out and remove all doubt.
Now he can barely refrain from giving a running commentary on everything and anything.
Not least Kronke "we don't want his sort here". If that was so then he Hill-Wood, should have purchased the Granada shares and the issue would not have arisen.
He did not and was in no position to whine when someone else did.
Now apparently Kronke is his best mate becuase the Yank is ostensibly a barrier to his 'bete noir' DD who was for 25 years his great mate and best chum.
His main concern it seems to me is not Arsenal's well being but pursuing a vendetta against Dein.
Is that actually in Arsenal's best interest ?
I don't think it is. But others may disagree.

The man and his family are more Arsenal than most of us. He does a great job in the best traditions of the Club - the classy ethos of the Club is best imbued by his Old Etonian values. Sheer class is what Arsenal has stood for since the early 30s, and the Hill-Wood family has been at the forefront of this.

But you are missing the question that was asked which was, is he now losing his marbles because he no longer does things in the tradition of the club by coming out more and more often with statements of total shite. Whether or not you agree with his views on DD,kroenke/usmanov is not the point because once upon a time the chairman of our club would be more dignified and keep his council private. Now however he seems to enjoy loosening his tounge and wants to be more high profile than he used to be

I should also say (as if I need to

PS Seriously limerick astley are you unable to write a post without rhyming it
