Is it possible to copy you tube videos of football

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Is it possible to copy you tube videos of football

Post by Basil is a Gooner »

Just wondered if anyone knew how to copy /download you tube videos of football clips onto a disc?

This is football related and just wanted to ask all you techy geeks out there. :barscarf:

Thanks!

(awaits usual amount of suggestive answers but hopefully at least one useful one!) :rubchin: And yes I have tried switching it on and off again! :box:

You can download youtube videos from keepvid.com - paste the address of the video in and when it gives you the download links, choose the one with the biggest filesize for the best quality, ideally 720p or 1080p.

To get them on a disc.... Do you mean so that they'll play on a DVD player? If so you'll need to convert the downloaded file into DVD format. There's a number of programs out there, to obtain them legally you'll need to pay some money. VSO ConvertXToDVD is my favourite. You simply drop the downloaded file into it, choose whether or not you want create menus, put a blank disc in your machine and then it converts it and burns the disc off for you.

An easier way of viewing them on TV is to download them, as per Dan's advice, and then whack them on a USB stick. Most TV/Blu-Ray players have slots for them these days, and it saves all the hassle of burning etc.
