As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Pretty much lacking in perspective they were.
Everyone should know just how strong a home team we are, especially against pub teams.

Not that it would've made a difference, but apparently they rested some of their starters in order to have them fresh for an important game in the Championship or some shit.
How did this lot ever beat $chitty ???. They were rubbish. Easy for a magic 'footballing' team as we were today. Theo looked good on the bench. Leave him there.

I guess you missed the part where Welbeck was absolute shit.
I don't understand all this anti-Walcott sentiment; he provides end product, a trait neither Chamberlain nor Welbeck possess.
He may not be as diligent tracking back but what he brings to the fore offensively more then makes up for it; his mere presence makes us a different side in the way he stretches the defence and forces them to sit deep - he also has superb off the ball movement, probably the best in the entire League and this attribute is crucial in order to extract the best out of Ozil and co.
He's a nailed on starter when fully fit and rightfully so, he adds a whole 'nother dimension to our game.

Not consistantly he doesnt - his movement off the ball has improved greatly in the last 18 months or so, but it is also a fact that a lot of those runs are into already crowded areas His finishing for a "top level £100k per week" player is not good enough and is quite poor when he has time to decide what he is going to do - most Gooners agree that his finishing is better when he doesnt have time and just reacts instantly. To the day I day I will continue to argue that he is not and never will be a striker because he is not a natural predator in the penalty area and when defences sit deep it does nullify a large part of his game - that leads to the question that if he isnt a striker then what should his position be and imo that should be as a winger, but right now he lacks/ignores team needs (to work harder defensively) to play a selfish game and somebody should be pulling him into line over it
Btw what is the point in comparing him with wellbeck and the ox ? The ox is a few years younger and less experienced, whilst wellbeck is a player that most agree will never be top level

Because they are our other feasible options to play RW seeing as Sanchez's best position is on the left.
You say Walcott's finishing is not good enough but he's still easily our 2nd most clinical player after Sanchez. Says a lot.
As I said, Walcott isn't the best defensively (but neither was Podolski and alot of people on here were desperate for him to play more), but it'd be asinine to play someone like Welbeck who is inferior to Walcott in virtually all parts of the game just to bolster the defence.
This seasons FA Cup keeps going with shock after shock as the plucky underdogs from Arsenal beat the 12 game unbeaten Mourinhoesque championship galacticos from Smogland.
Lovely second goal and I thoroughly enjoyed Gabriels yellow card, knew the guy was going past him so took him out, no nonsense and one of those 'good fouls' we hear about but so rarely commit.
It was a decent win, seeing as a few people thought we'd lose!
We played some great stuff. Sure, it was a Smoggy team with a few rested but so what? You have to play and beat whoever is in front of you.
Gibbs played well but again his crossing was appalling - apart from the inch perfect one he put in for Giroud's first goal!!
Santi and Ozil were different class. Was nice to hear that Smoggy players were tweeting afterwards about how good those two (and Sanchez) were.
Welbeck looks like he's still not sharp yet and needs game time.
Giroud's second goal was a top top class finish. Yeah, he's not top class, we all know that, but he does have some great finishes in his locker. I still feel we could get so much more from him if we played him in a straight 4-4-2 as he just doesn't have the pace to be that lone striker.
A really good performance and a potential banana skin avoided. Would love to retain the FA Cup.

As well as resembling Martin Keown, it was nice to see he also shares the same instincts. A thoroughly 'no fucking about' type challenge.
Ironically, one of the reasons Boro looked so ordinary was that they didn't have a plan B. Once we ruined their game plan by scoring they had no idea how to change it up.

Be fucking ecstatic - as I was last year and anytime I'm privileged enough to see us make history.
Win or lose Wenger is staying on, everyone knows that, so we might as well enjoy picking up silverware.
Exactamondo Compadre - As much as most of us sane gooners on here want Le Hapless Mr Bean GONE, until he fuckks off...if we win anything that's a chance to feel Happy...and belt out a few tunes.....
Santi - Ozil - Alexis - When they play together like they did on the w/end Truly is a Thing of Beauty...It has nothing to do with Le Mr Bean - Just them on the pitch 'Purring' like 3 Rolls Royce Phantoms - was something to behold.
