I don't see us winning at their dump, though :(
we haven't the best of records against them at home either

Looks like we will play the Manure away then, out we go, we always bottle it against the Manure, those scabby twats Pool have a soft game at home, I really don't want them to win this FA Cup, I don't care who wins it as long as its not them. :x

Wenger will have no clue how to approach this game. No clue whatsoever. Odds are we'll do our usual in this sort of game and create fuck all whilst looking ropey defensively.

Anybody think that Monaco is a bigger game than this? I have no doubt Wenger thinks so.

The Monaco game is the biggest obstacle we might have in this tie - if le cock decides to prioritise the games against his old club (who weren't afraid to sack him btw 8) ), then we might surrender before the game even starts

If it's Yernited away then it's Sayanora, the standard defeat at OT and elimination

I agree, but I think we can somehow manage to go through if we play at home...

Still believe that those 'draws' are fixed, though

The problem is it wouldn't work at United the same way it did against City. Not trying to discredit the performance but without Yaya Toure City don't really have any players who can beat a man, but will always throw men forward at home. Hence why getting men behind the ball (coupled with great discipline and organisation) was so effective. Likewise we accepted that they would have the huge majority of possession and commit men forward, hence why the counter-attack yielded some great opportunities (that we didn't take advantage of).

I actually think that we tried to set up in a fairly similar way against Spurs, but it won't work against a team like Spurs because they play a more direct game with the ball at their feet and moreover we were always going to have more possession but be pressed harder with players like Mason and Bentaleb (hence getting drawn out of defensive shape and then being caught). Our approach clearly wasn't working but we stuck with it all game.

Last year we tried to park the bus against that awful Moyes team but after conceding with over an hour left we had no idea how to change our approach and basically defending our way to a 1-0 defeat, creating fuck all up the other end all game.

The performance at City was a joy to watch but it's not enough to have two settings - normal fluid attacking-focused approach or everyone behind the ball. We are easily good enough to go up there and do a number on United comfortably but unless we find an approach somewhere between the two we won't do.

Remember, we made Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair look like Franco Baresi and Maldini....
At "fortress" Emirates too!
It doesn't matter what team they put out, our arse hole manager is so scared of them that we will bottle it. No question.
Our only hope is of Preston winning the tie. Like the CL, if we're asked to beat an elite side (specially away from home) to win a teo then under this clown you can absolutely forget it.

Watching them tonight I get the feeling that neither Di Mario or Falcao can be bothered, and their defense is a joke.

Apart from De Gea, granny shagger and Blind they are pretty shit these days.

So, were they "fixed" last season when we played basically every tie at home and drew Wigan in a semi? :rubchin:

Wenger should walk (ha, as if!) if either of these two knock us out. What an absolutely dire game, like 2 pub teams going at it in a local park.
