FA Cup QF Draw

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Beat me to it !

As Rooney blocks the keeper's path from six yards but supposedly doesn't interfere with play, he interferes with our ability to win a trophy this season

Meh, might still go to Old Toilet if I can get a ticket. I like making myself miserable.

I'll be there too....chance of an away ticket and lets hope we can put in the sort of proud performance that Gallas & Co did last time we played there in the Cup

I suppose on the bright side we'll be spared Kevin Davies winning every header against the non-jumping German !

Yep - ask yourself whether the keeper would have saved it if Rooney wasn't there. He could have stopped that ball with his cock. So how can Rooney possibly not be offside?

Phil Dowd then covers himself in glory by failing to give the most obvious second yellow of the season for Kevin Davies sprinting 10 yards and diving in several minutes too late on Smalling.

Was greatly surprised today not to hear any calls from the media for Preston to rough them up, kick them off the park, give them reducers. etc which would no doubt be the case if it was us.

Complete with horrendous Rooney dive :barscarf: :barscarf:

(except of course it isn't a dive if it's Rooney is it? It's "always going to get given if he goes down". That was about as bad a dive as you'll see but of course hammer the likes of Pires, Ronaldo and Eden Hazard for it and completely ignore it.
