Well he is the referee who gave Newcastle two penalties straight out of his own imagination in the 4-4 up there. He also sent off Diaby (remember him?) for grabbing an opponent by the throat and throwing him to the ground but booked Chesney for allowing an opponent to grab him round the throat and throw him to the ground. He clearly has favourites.northbank123 wrote:Yep - ask yourself whether the keeper would have saved it if Rooney wasn't there. He could have stopped that ball with his cock. So how can Rooney possibly not be offside?SteveO 35 wrote:Beat me to it !Mistical92 wrote:And there goes the season...
As Rooney blocks the keeper's path from six yards but supposedly doesn't interfere with play, he interferes with our ability to win a trophy this season
Phil Dowd then covers himself in glory by failing to give the most obvious second yellow of the season for Kevin Davies sprinting 10 yards and diving in several minutes too late on Smalling.

That dive. Should be a retro active 3 match ban.
Yet all you hear from the announcers is "Rooney won that penalty for himself"

Re: FA Cup QF Draw
Prior to the draw i hoped we would get a home tie against a lower league side and that either dippers or manure got eachother or got away ties at the brum pair..The draw we have is the worst possible, easy passage for the mickeys and a standard limp dicked surrender from us at old traffart we will get a brownholing for sure.

Edurado gets suspended after diving, Rooney gets praised.
Re: FA Cup QF Draw
You greedy fucker - not content with the Community Shield, the most consecutive CL Group Stage qualification trophy, and the most chances created pre-Christmas trophy......you wanted the quadruple didn't you ?officepest wrote:Was waiting to ee the result before posting....................
Shit draw, season hanging by a thread.
Re: FA Cup QF Draw
Still makes my blood boil the way Eduardo was hounded by the press and yet Rooney or Costa dive week in week out and no action is taken
Re: FA Cup QF Draw
Old cruntchops himself Adrian Durham (a man who makes manorhouse and Laughing Gooner look like mere pups of the WUM world) still mentions the Pires dive against Pompey when discrediting the Invincibles 11 years later !trustno10 wrote:Still makes my blood boil the way Eduardo was hounded by the press and yet Rooney or Costa dive week in week out and no action is taken

Re: FA Cup QF Draw
And Phil Neville says "when the keeper comes out that way, he has to get out of the way otherwise its a leg breaker". This is the man who would have done Rosicky for giving someone the eyes and doing a switch pass.Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:That dive. Should be a retro active 3 match ban.

Re: FA Cup QF Draw
Really disappointing commentary from Keown tonight. Justifying Rooney's dive, arguing with himself within a span of 5 minutes.
Any united fan giving it large after that win ought to have a hard look at themselves. Stick chambers or gabriel on Fellaini as DM and play Cazorla, Ozil, Theo behind Giroud and Sanchez.
It can be done.

If Sánchez, Özil and Cazorla are fit and on form, we'll beat them.

We are well capable of beating United but all the doubts will set in and the inferiority complex will win again. Hope to God I am wrong.. Immediate thoughts tonight were that Shrek dived and replays haven't convinced me otherwise. Even Rooney's look back to the ref suggested hope more than anything.
They were unconvincing again tonight. The Cup is being set up for Liverpool, I do believe it is possible to manufacture a suitable draw.

ha, the negativity here is hilarious......so we played shite the last time we played them in the cup, so inevitably, we'll play shite again.
Great logic......
Was anyone watching that game.....Utd were shite for most of the game against a moderate div 2 team.
A performance like we put in yesterday, we'll win.....end of......

Apart from that though he was mercilessly slagging off manure. They were utter toilet and we should beat them easily.gp543 wrote:Really disappointing commentary from Keown tonight. Justifying Rooney's dive, arguing with himself within a span of 5 minutes.
