Beckham

Post by clockender1 »

After just six games with the u16 has been promoted to u18 this week. He' s still 15...

Anyone seem him play ?

Being in mind who his dad is, there's been surprising little hype so far. Like most famous offspring I had assumed he wasn't going anywhere, but maybe not ?

You think he actually has a chance at the first team ?

If he gets a shot ahead of Dan Crowley just because of who his dad is, I'll be livid.

I like those two replies. Neither have seen him play yet you've slagged him off.

I like the fact all of Beckham's sons are Gooners. Good parenting

If he was from French West Africa and shit, he would have been playing in the first team by now.

Sorry, I looked at my and GP's reply and can't seem find the part where we "slagged him off"? Care to point it out? :rubchin:

Unfortunately, this is all we have to go by thus far. Hardly comprehensive, I know.

Nice pace and first touch.

I'm not sure that 30 yard cross field ball he received would be permitted in the first team though.

Hope the lad does well for us and if he's a Gooner even better.

Has he signed professional?

Yeah, help me out on that as well. My point is that Crowley is two years older, has been consistently a standout at his current level and deserves a shot before the Beckham kid.

The better player out of Crowley and Beckham Jr deserves the first team chance.
I do not care if a kid has been with us for 10 years or 10 minutes, I want the better player to be selected.
I do consistently write that I want homegrown kids to do well, but only if they are good enough!

^ It will be Crowley. He is our best youth player - better than Zelalem, who for some reason gets called up to the first team at times but Dan never is. That's ass backwards. But maybe we're just biding our time with Crowley.

Have to admit that I have never seen crowley play, but from the clips I have seen of zelalem he looks to have real quality 8)

Feast your eyes - plays like a more refined Wilshere.
