Up to third, I'm almost giddy, not sure I like it here so best retreat to our comfort zone of fourth as soon as possible.

One hand on the VT, it's gonna be a spunk fest on here soon :barscarf:

After the first 10 minutes of the second half (where we were shaky), things were fine. They were pushing men forward and looking toothless, we looked dangerous on the counter-attack (as long as it didn't go to Giroud).

Gibbs for Ozil - why?? It's so negative and with one up front inevitably heaps pressure on us by taking away an outlet. And when we are sitting in that deep and letting them chuck men forward having Gibbs on the pitch hardly makes a difference, especially if they're chucking balls into the box.

Far from brilliant tbh but we're seeing the start of the march to the top 4.

Love games like that.

Didn't play well but when the chances came we were clinical. That is not an easy fixture for a side like us to win.

Giroud and koscielny were outstanding today.

arsene wenger is literally the worst tactical manager in the fucking sport.

Wenger is the worst manager yet you would have bought THEO on? Seriously? Their best attacking threats are wingers and you would have bought theo on? Explain why?

Look at the spurs winner - watch theo give Bentaleb half an hour to cross the ball

Look at Leicester at home - where did their threat come from all first half because Hector was exposed.

Il take a debate with anyone who knows football but my god that's the most idiotic of idiotic statements

No manger in world football would have bought Walcott on today.

Your Wenger hatred is so bile and appalling it becomes invalid when you make statements like that.

edit: not tr7 but gibbs instead of walcott...dumb. could put this game out of sight with an easy counter with walcott.
Just to clarify my post above.

Counter? How can you counter when they are attacking on the flanks.

Let's here mr tactical genius explain it,

I'm all for reasonable debate with anyone - but to win away and read this shit - madness.

because they were pushing hard for a goal and were wide open, yet giroud fucked up multiple counter chances. walcott and welbeck are fast and would have made a better countering option. im sure your thought wenger throwing on 6 defenders was a good idea too. please tell me how bringing on gibbs was a good idea. or changing defensive formation in the last 5 minutes of the game, inviting nothing but pressure?

Watch the game again mate - Gibbs coming on stopped everything coming down their most dangerous side.

Giroud was outstanding today - he does a lot for the team in games like that.

Had theo come on their wingers would have created more and more chances - the ones we struggled with in the last 5 mins, we would have lost had theo come on because the game wasn't for him.

Fuck sake mate, we probably agree on a lot of things ant Wenger but he did nothing wrong today with the players available.

i cant agree man. you cant just throw on defenders all over the pitch and try to hold on against crystal palace. should have tried to get a 3rd and kill it off. we got lucky to win because of that shit.

I don't think that Theo was the answer to come on either, but don't go three in CD while taking off both Sanchez and Ozil. Right there, he is taking away all of our ball retention. Rosicky was a good call. Gibbs and then Gabriel wasn't the wisest move. I think that he should have left Sanchez on and brought on Wilshire for 10 mins.

Another blinding day, enjoyed the pre match beer as much as the match.
A crucial 3 points and other results went for us.
We're coming good at the business end of the season, the players and wenger deserve great credit.

We took off every single outlet we had and just invited crazy amounts of pressure onto us. From 55-70 minutes we were consummately comfortable in defence and looked a real threat on the counter-attack (although Giroud fucked up two or three great chances under little pressure).
