As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'd choose the former without hesitation.
Which would Wenger choose I wonder?
Don't you dare take that Lap of Appreciation away.....Rodders and I have been saving all our 'reserves' for that sunny and joyous celebration in May
Pffff those that scoff at 4th obviously never felt their underpants get moist on those glorious days at the Hawthornes and St. James's. Im hoping we finish fourth on goal difference this year so it adds extra spice to my "release"
I've been very vocal against Wenger and as many know I've been here for a while as a so called "Akb" (I hate that term because we are all on the same team).
Wenger has fucked up In many ways - but he plucked Giroud from obscurity and he has just scored 50 prem goals quicker than Drogba.
I'm not making a comparison because Drogba was world class, but credit where credit is due - he has not been a bad player for Arsenal has he.

the gripe most people have though is that he never does it against the big teams on the big stage, hes good against the minnows which I guess is better than nothing
I notice he spoke about the English cricket team in his press conference yesterday (how the subject came up I don't know) Funny, as my disillusionment and disinterest in both them and his Arsenal side are at similar levels at the moment
Wouldn't exactly say Giroud was plucked from obscurity though. Wasn't he like Ligue 's top goalscorer the season his then team won said league?
PS I always argued that he has a bit of brilliance to his play. Some of what he tries might not come off sometimes, but you can definitely see his intent and know he has some bit of intelligence to him.
He's also the scorer of some top drawer goals that you'd never hear the end of, if they were being pulled off by some big name strikers.

Yeah he's perfect flat track bully material.
To be fair he has improved and it is one of the most difficult forward roles to play. You have to have just about everything in the locker. His movement and awareness around the six-yard box is better and it gets him goals - although I think you still have to take some account of how many of his goals are put on a plate for him.
That said he is just not good enough for the role or for the Arsenal - end of. Today there were two or three great counter-attacking moves which completely broke down at Giroud's feet. How frustrating must that be for the likes of Sanchez, Ozil, Cazorla etc? He is never going to be much of a threat away at the big teams because he is so slow that he offers minimal threat in behind and it's too easy for CBs to get really tight to him. Squad player at best.
