Well knowing the Forum what I considered "eyebrow raising" is probably old news to others and considered banal, but it was an incident I was not previously aware of

It was a fantastic achievement and will rightly always be remembered but am I the only one who is a bit embarrassed by how much we seem to be harping back to it?

It was (and is) unrivalled but it makes me cringe a bit when we sing "49, 49..." at every single game. We are quick enough to harp on about other clubs clinging onto past glories (LIVERPOOL) and I think people would ridicule United singing about the treble every single game (without wanting to re-open the debate about which is better).

This isn't (just) because of this documentary.

I think it's quite right to celebrate your clubs history. Football can be quite unforgiving and not many teams stay at the top decade after decade, so why not remember and celebrate the glory days? - these are moments, as football fans, that we live for and will remember forever.

Agree with this. Considering how great a commercial machine Arsenal is these days, it's amazing they haven't fully cashed in on the Invincibles over the years (I was expecting a full range of 'ten-year anniversary' merchandise last year). And, as far as I know, this latest documentary was commissioned by Sky, wasn't it?

In any event, I'm okay with it. I'd say that we - as a club and as a fanbase - actually talk about Michael Thomas' winner at Anfield more than we do the Invincibles. There was the book and film, its own DVD of the full match, a sleepover at the Emirates to mark the 25th anniversary (remember that), and there's seemingly not many days that go by when I don't see or hear that goal in some form or another. Is it embarrassing that we talk about that, and regard it as one of the club's greatest achievements? Not really.

I think some fans have a slight issue with the Invincibles, as a) it's past achievements such as this that keeps Wenger in his job today, and b) it was the last great triumph before the club transitioned to nearly-rans and gave up competing for a decade (and counting). So to glorify it, in the face of what followed, almost seems to be accepting that we really have fallen that far, and all that we have left is to remember the good old days.

It is a compelling watch; mixture of interviews, match footage and training ground footage.
A tribute to and celebration of a legendary achievement, and truly great players.
Very entertaining anecdotes, one eyebrow raising revelation and well edited.
Five players plus the manager are interviewed.
Lots of focus on the game at Old Trafford, a very strong part of the documentary.
The man who made it spoke before the screening, explained he had limited broadcast time so limited the amount of players he spoke to, though the whole project took two years.
He advised those wanting more detail should buy Amy Lawrence's Invincibles book.
Ashley Cole is in match and training footage but not interviewed.
It was a preview screening.
Pat Rice looked trim and healthy, I guess and hope he is in remission.
Lots of players in the audience: Jens, Sol Campbell, Lauren, Robert Pires, Martin Keown, Ray Parlour, Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain, Paul Davis, plus Ken Friar and other Arsenal people.

What raised my eyebrow was Lehmann saying how Wenger and Ferguson got into it in the tunnel after the Old Trafford game, he did not go into too much detail but it could be there were pushes, shoves, possibly a punch?

Well we've been doing it 10 years, so why not 11? or 12? or 13? once you reach a decade of failure, an extra year or 5 make no difference.
