Monaco at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Shocking so far, BFG was more interested in protecting his tackle :banghead: :banghead:

if we lucky we might get a scrappy 1-1 draw.

this is the last 16 - we don't win these games because we don't need to. it is all about qualifying for this round not any further.
this is the time of the season when Wenger prioritises qualifying for the CL next season and why he played his strongest team v Palace.
I am not at all surprised
We have this every year
My only surprise is why nobody learns

Absolutely. We've been so fucking negative. A team who scored 4 and conceded 1 in their group would be begging that we play a really negative cagey possession game.

I always find that the best thing to do after my team concedes a goal is to sit there with your hands in your pockets looking like a senile old lesbian.

One word describes our performance, unprofessional. Players turning up thinking they only have to play to win, how many times have we seen it under Wenger, its pathetic.

I understand the collective sigh of relief that we didn't draw one of the top European sides but this still takes some winning.

I have virtually zero interest in French football (other than to look at who we might be signing next from St Etienne or Lorient :D ) but just had a look through their last few games since the turn of the year - they barely ever concede ! Flip side of that is that they don't score many either.....can see it being a tight one
Everything I feared has come true in this first 45 minutes. The attitude of the players has been as cringeworthy as that of the fans - look back at some of the comments on here.....yeah yeah we'll dick 'em, this lot are shit...blah blah

Like we're anywhere near good enough or consistent enough to believe that.

Players and fans alike - disgraceful tonight

Man, are we clueless in Europe. Bright start but we have worked the keeper a grand total of zero times.

We stink the place out.
