Monaco at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

1. I'm constantly astounded at the arrogance of some of our fans.. The general consensus was "we'll easily win this". People forget Monaco hardly conceded a goal in the group stages and are tactically drilled. Arsenal under this manager are a tactical mess and so it's showing tonight. The players have taken the "we're through" approach of the fans.

2. There is too much dross at Arsenal. Coquelin got a new deal on the back of one performance in 4 years. He's laughably shite. Kondogbia has absolutely chewed him up all half, he's laughably bad for this level. Welbeck is another, he's simply useless at CL level - a guy with an awful first touch and that can't finish. Then you've got Giroud, who spent pre-game claiming he's as good as Diego Costa. On the evidence in big games, he ain't even Kevin Campbell FFS

3. I was going to say something about tactics, motivation, etc but where's the point eh? Sigh

I'm sure he's a nice guy but Welbeck has no business playing for a side such as us - I'd give Wally a run. I'd also hook Özil for definite and I'd be asking a lot more from Giroud.

WAKE UP ARSENAL YOU CUNTTS. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :box: :box: :box: :box:
We allow ourselves to get hopes up because we all love our team and want them to do well but for the last umpteen seasons they've done nothing to deserve our support and yet being a fan means we live in hope each and every game regardless.

I have to admit though, it's no longer enjoyable watching the Arsenal and until there's a radical change at the club it'll be the same old story year after year.

Pffft, Monaco still look shite, we'll get 3, 4, possibly 5 in the second half

Sounness is the best pundit on TV, I really think so. Every time I see him comment on our games he makes a lot of sense.

And if the wingers dropping deep and coming infield are an issue get Walcott on as soon as possible because he is a selfish bastard and will only think about being played into a dangerous area.

Agreed. A non arsenal supporting buddy of mine who likes a flutter text me today asking if I thought Arsenal -2 was worth a few of his quid going on it. After picking myself up off the floor after the best laugh I had in ages, I text him back and questioned his fucking sanity. He owes me a pint next time he sees me.

Why people think this shower of shit will steamroll ANYBODY is beyond me, yet alone a team from the knockout stages of the CL. All I can say is thank Christ we didn't draw either of the Madrid's, Barca or Real or we'd be getting a right probing tonight. Out with a wimper against Monaco and save us all a massive fucking embarrassment :banghead:
Because we didn't draw Bayern, Real or Barca the view seems to be that we'll beat the shite out of everyone else and finally we've got a nice 'easy' draw. People don't have the brains they were born with. Monaco who have barely conceded all year, all of a sudden against the distant 3rd best team in England will suddenly turn to jelly, forget everything they ever knew and get trounced. Laughable

Glad we paid all that money for Gabriel so he could play in a FA Cup match. Well done, Arsene.

You'd want to be some self harmer to watch that invincibles doc later. Best to stick with the current shower of shit than remind yourself of what used to be.

They've even got their best defensive players missing.

As usual we are attempting to walk through.
