THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

when Wenger finally does go there will be the party of all parties in the Arsenal area!
At least this is guaranteed to happen eventually whereas we will probably never win the CL

Here's Souness talking last night and as usual gets it spot on . Henry looking uncomfortable when he asks him repeatedly to tell the story of his time with the whores because he knows the story damns wenger
We may have been here before, but I detect a groundswill of opinion that Wenger is becoming a fraud.
Ok, we already knew it, but the press boys and pundits are beginning see him for what he is.
John Cross is the exception.

After every debacle, John Cross always comes up with some nonsense like we need "a change in the manager not a change of the manager".

He's already drinking Wenger's Pale Yellow jaded pisss mate!

The poor bloke isn't all there, just look at how he dresses and drinks juice constantly. I think it's in bad taste the Arsenal TV or whatever that channel is called has him on. I'm surprised Rivky Gervais hasn't made a tv show about him with his name as the title

Poor bloke is Arsenal's Wealdstone raider every club has one

That's why Wenger and Him see eye to eye. :?

Awful and shameful last night...only one person to blame. Then comes out with the ''not ready mentally'' same old bullshit. Sadly not a chance of him going until he decides to....sad,very very sad :banghead: :cussing: :(

After last night's unacceptable debacle, the chair of the club fan group says fans shouldn't criticise as "now is not the time"

telegraph :
Arsene Wenger is running out of ideas and excuses after Arsenal's defeat to Monaco
pretty damning :

Wenger lamented his players being “a bit suicidal defensively” and accused them of losing their nerve, of playing with heart rather than head. It was difficult to disagree, barring the “a bit” part. Such criticism may not go down well in the dressing-room, a place that lacks strong characters at the best of times.

Arsenal’s distinguished manager must take much of the blame for this. He sets the mood, he shapes the tactics, he builds the squad and selects the starting XI and ultimately he must take responsibility.

wow the sport page of the Mail is a Wenger hate fest today - the headlines :

8-2 against United, 6-0 at Chelsea on his 1,000th game in charge... and now this. So, where does Monaco mauling rank in Wenger's 10 worst days as Arsenal boss?
ARSENAL BLAME GAME: Should Wenger shoulder the responsibility - or are the players at fault?
FAN'S VIEW: Most of us love Wenger but his tactics cost us from the start
its seems his attack on the players to divert attention has not gone down well in the press....

yeah look at the comments though " if we had put away those three easy chances, it would have been a different story..." :banghead:

AKB's really are mentally retarded - we still conceded three and what IF Monaco had taken all THEIR chances, fuckin moron :banghead:

i just don't get why they don't see this is a trend - poor performances v dortmund, anderlecht, stoke, swansea, southampton (x2), united, Hull, leceister, besitkas and spurs (twice too). then the perfomances last year - norwich, blackburn, schalke, stoke, swansea, liverpool, chelsea, city, united, Hull and wigan....

With Tottenham and Liverpool out of the Europa League, wenker's fight for 4th will be more ferocious than ever... This might just be the year he doesn't win the precious virtual trophy, I hope.
