And if you took a moment's pause in your haste to just childishly have a jab and actually read what I (or anyone else) has said about Giroud you would see no one has said he is a top striker. We've all said the opposite in fact. He is not a top striker. But he is an average to good striker (depending on the day) that has moments of brilliance and moments of utter shitness. But hey - don't let the facts get in your way huh, mate!
Anyway, to the game. The entire team the other night were shite.
The worst for me was obviously the Giant Fucking Coward at the back. Turned side on to deflect the ball into his own net because owie getting hit by the ball might hurt! OWIE!

Then made the schoolboy error of stepping up at the runner instead of tracking him. Surprise surprise the runner just dropped the shoulder and bye bye he's gone. A child would know to turn early and run with him, try push him wide. Those trying to defend the Massive Cowardly Pussy by saying he couldn't have run with him because he has no pace are missing the point; he didn't need to race him all the way back to the box, he only needed to run him wide long enough for other faster players to get back to help. The Big Scared Vadge has to be dropped and got rid of now.
Welbeck I'm sorry is bang average on a good day, pure shite on a bad one. His first touch is shocking. Ball just bounces a yard or two off his foot. The myth about his pace is often exposed. He wins NOTHING in the air, and that's on the odd occasion when he bothers to challenge for anything in the air. Simply not good enough.
Gibbs still cannot cross a ball to save his life. Bellerin looks like he has potential but he was all over the place, constantly caught out of position.
Walcott and the Ox seemed like a good idea but apart from a couple of good runs and one chance he jumped out of Walcott had no impact really. The Ox scored a beauty and then went from hero to zero by giving the ball away so cheaply for their third. Felt really sorry for him.
Giroud was utter dogshit. He'll probably score a 30 yard screamer in the next game.

But ultimately he is a squad player or a striker that should be played alongside a striker than can hit 20+ PL goals every season in a 4-4-2. He is not a lone striker in a 4-5-1. My 9 year old son can see that.
Ozil, Sanchez and Santi were all guilty of overplaying everything. Ozil is a fantastically gifted player. He has vision, deftness of touch, passing brilliance and top top technique. But I don't think he'll make it with us. Particularly in the pacey PL. We either build a system around him and his ability or we get rid.
Watching Wenger sit there with his hands in his pockets whilst Monaco's manager was up on the sideline actually managing his team and managing the game was just pathetic.
Bizarrely, I think we might turn this one round.
No, seriously - don't laugh!! I have a feeling we will win 3-0 over there or more likely 3-1 and scrape it on pennos. Cue Arsene then talking about how that was the greatest achievement of his career and how this is the best group of players he's ever assembled and blah blah fucking blah before the standard raping at the hands of a proper top team in the next round.
