i want arsene wenger out as much as the next on here but to keep refering to the mystical Sir Brian Clough you have to remember that after 17 years at forest he was a busted flush. He had his hand in the til got them relegated and had a lower win percentage than our great leader. He only one won league title no fa cups but he did win 2 european cups. But towards the end the heyup meducks were pretty divided like we are now about getting rid or glorious leader. He might of made a good england manager or he might not,but at the end he was a deluded alchy and its only the passage of time which allows us to look back with rose tinted glasses.arsene wenger out.Henry Norris 1913 wrote:heard him say something hilarious on ssn this morning about giroud "he doesn't miss on purpose" fuck.ing. hell.
imagine cloughy or ferguson coming out with that, what a fucking loser he is these dayshe's not missing on purpose, he wants to be good, he just can't do it, he hits the ball but the ball doesn't go where he wants it to go
boo hoo
next week it will be "ospina tried to stop the ball from going in the netty, but the ball was hit hard and it hurted his hands so he let it in" , he didn't want to let it in but it happened

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
An observation, last Wednesday Wenger rarely lifted his arse from the bench while we were toiling to break down Monaco, and defending poorly, no encouragement, no instructions.
Yesterday, while we were touch and go at 1-0 still no movement from Wenger, but when it ws 2-0 he suddenly got brave enough to stand on the touchline, giving out small hand signals, trying to look busy.
Where is he when the team need him most?

the fact we are 3rd underlines how poor the PL now is - not how good Wenger is.
he really is the luckiest manager of all time

Sitting down obviously ...sorry , but I do agree with you. Wenger has developed the ability to fool himself and many others besides that any good that occurs in Arsenal games is down to him..hence the hiding when it isn't going our way.

The luckiest man in all football will, no doubt, once again see any bit of narrative against him shovelled away like pesky snow on the sidewalks with that win over a hapless Everton and picking off of QPR in the upcoming fixture.
With what is undeniably a poor league, we'll never get those sustained bad run of results which would see the old duffer being properly put under scrutiny and pressure. We've quite easily made our way to 3rd and only 4 points off 2nd place. And, it all has nothing to do with the idiot in charge. Just look at who had been occupying the position for most of the season and it should come as no surprise where we currently find ourselves. Ideally, with a league comprising of mostly dross, a better manager and we'd be right there at the top battling it out with the chavs.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Not really my point mate but I agree, I and many others on here have drawn paralells between clough and wenger. In this example though I used his name as a manager who would not accept second best and strove for perfection, managers that don't have such whiny, defeatist attitudes to their jobs. Hearing Clough saying "Oh but he isn't missing on purpose"- ha fat fucking chancemarkmark64 wrote:i want arsene wenger out as much as the next on here but to keep refering to the mystical Sir Brian Clough you have to remember that after 17 years at forest he was a busted flush. He had his hand in the til got them relegated and had a lower win percentage than our great leader. He only one won league title no fa cups but he did win 2 european cups. But towards the end the heyup meducks were pretty divided like we are now about getting rid or glorious leader. He might of made a good england manager or he might not,but at the end he was a deluded alchy and its only the passage of time which allows us to look back with rose tinted glasses.arsene wenger out.Henry Norris 1913 wrote:heard him say something hilarious on ssn this morning about giroud "he doesn't miss on purpose" fuck.ing. hell.

Wenger's idea of tactics is to make a substitution before the 70 - 75 minute mark in a game - Wow! that's REALLY gonna confuse the likes of maureen...

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Been watching this site for a while, but this is my first contribution. I'm sick to death of all the wenger hating on here. It's time someone stood up for a man who's given so much to the club. 3 league titles, and 5 FA cups says it all, yet that's not good enough for some of the spoilt glory hunters on this site? It makes me sick to read some of the bile on here. The man is a purist, who has the right footballing idea. He even got us to the champions league final. Yeah, results haven't been great recently, but HE NEEDS TIME! Wait until the stadium is paid off at least!!!
After the Cup win last season you were all like "Wenger in!" Now we lose to Monaco and it's all "Wenger out!"
We should be greatful we still have him, not hound him out the door like some scared rabbit.

You may find this place somewhat distasteful I'm afraid Arsene, but welcome all the same.CloakedGooner wrote:Been watching this site for a while, but this is my first contribution. How much time does he need ? We are further away from winning the league than with his "best ever squad" got.
By the way the stadium has a long way to go before it is paid off - do you still want him here in his 80`s ?
Not sure where you got " Wenker in" from the cup win ( which was very fortunate ) most were saying ideal time to go, while a shred of dignity remained.
