6 month wonder?

Sanchez is a bonafide world class player, that much is clear. Form and class, my friend.

Absolutely 1,000%

Coquelin a doubt?

Guess we will see Chambers and Rosicky in the middle.

How about Cazorla number 10 with Welbeck and Walcott wide, save The Ox for Old Trafford?

After today's performance I hope Gabriel keeps his place.
I am actually beginning to worry that he could become another "6 month wonder"
he is suffering from burnout like Ozil did at this stage last season
Wenger has no idea how to manage players, he just plays them until they get injured

Mourinho is right - we should be doing a lot better than we are with the players at our disposal.
I also suspect he is a little frustrated because there is really no competition to Chelsea anymore.
Look back at when he first started at Chelsea and those epic battles 2004/05. they were great days looking back.
When you think how bad we are now and yet we are 3rd in the league!!
 What fucking epic battles, Wenker hasn't managed a battle against Mourinho in his fucking life, I remember a 2-2 draw at Highbury (Mourinho's first season i think) a Sunday game which I attended, and that's been as close as we've been to beating them, and TBH we were lucky enough that day, as a rare Cech mistake gifted us a goal.
As for Sanchez, I hope I'm wrong and probably am, but he wouldn't be the first top class player to flatter only to deceive in the epl. And if anyone can fuck up his career, Wenker can.

Wouldn't like to see Chambers anywhere near the team let alone the in centre mid. Complete liablility. I'd probably start Welbz but other than that keep the same team from yesterday. Away win and the march to qualify for a tournament we will get knocked out of in March 2016 rolls on :barscarf:

Goonersid - You are joking?? He is our one and only truly world class player. Head and shoulders above the rest.
I do think he's probably suffering from too many games, which, when you consider he plays as a striker, midfield and defence every game, its understandable.

I just hope Gabriel keeps his place I don't want to see that clown Mert starting again for us, he is a liability. Just get the 3 points, don't underestimate them FFS.

Mertersacker aint a bad player. Just having a bad spell, which when you consider he has had to play on because we haven't had another centre half, due to the managers failings to get one in at the start of the season, tells you where the finger should be pointed.

Yup! Regardles sof what players do or do not do - be they poor , average or Brilliant - The buck stops with Wenger (and Kroenke for keeping him at the helm)...Any fingers that need pointing should be pointed at Wenger - we all know he is long past his sell by date...and should be on some looney farm for the delusional somewhere...But no he (mis)manages our club.

You’re too kind, Rodders.

I’d drop him off in a bin liner at a charity shop; set him free and see if he can find himself a loving home.

It's funny not only we have a senile and incompetent manager and one who has overstayed his welcome, we also have a bunch of useless players who will never get into any other top clubs.

we all know sanchez is brilliant, but I genuinley think half of this season he hasn't looked good. he has shone against weak sides, and in the 2-2 v city, but I'm not sure he is the player who I would put my money on week in week out for a good performance. I think sometimes his playing style isn't really suited to our "system" or the PL. His natural style of play is to carry the ball forward, beat a defender and out in a ball. At times I think he plays too narrowly and doesn't make full use of the pitch, although at dortmund this season he has the opposite problem and was practically playing as a linesman for most of the match.

I like his dummies and his calmness under pressure, but I think he's getting caught on the ball a lot. There was a moment on sunday when he picked up the ball and just had a blank moment where he was oblivious to the players around him, barkely ended up running him off the ball for a fk but I think the pressure to carry the team is getting to him. I think Rosicky would get the best out of him but playing beside ozil isn't doing him any favors.

Think blaming AW for all this with Mert is a bit wayward, and dont agree its a bad spell, though hope you are right

So twice he has been seen ducking rather than challenging for aerial balls that turned into goals this season, and then all including his balls shrivelled up as he sloped sideways the other day rather than make yourself bigger  .

Last season he played 52 matches for us, so you can hardly blame games played and he also had a few weeks off at the start of this season despite being dropped as Germany approached the latter stage of the WC. Seems that Low also was struggling with him relative to other players :? . Last season almost all games were with Kos. This season with Kos missing a lot he has been woefully exposed. He wasnt really much better with TV5 playing with him, seems his legs and bottle have given out on him at the moment, not sure they will return :(

The combination with Kos worked really well last season, this season he has admitted he is lacking motivation. That may not be helped by AW but the rest seems more down to Mert :(

I know it's not the popular view on here but I do like Welbeck. I think he will prove to be a very useful player for us, especially away from home. Welbz to start and score tomorrow, you heard it here first 8)

I was underwhelmed when we signed him (to say the least), and I haven't seen anything so far that changes my mind. I'd play Wally over him every time wide right and I think even the French obelisk Giroud offers more up front.

I just don't see what he's supposed to offer.

Agreed, the instability hasn't helped Mertesacker and would probably impact on any CB but not even remotely justifiable to the extent of his piss-poor performances this season.

Plus it doesn't really help when he is ducking or cowering away and telling everybody he can't motivate himself to play for the Arsenal.

It's easy to blame Wenger for everything but can't pin this on him imo.
