Mertesacker came back from the world cup and said he wasn't motivated. He then follows that up with ducking against Liverpool, and makes embarrassing mistakes like the one against Monaco. I blame Wenger for not buying another CB in the summer, but everything else is down to Mertesacker.

Think we will win this in Arsenal style , 2-0 up concede, hang on by skin of the teeth. Arsene gives it loads in press conference about spirit and desire, AKBs say told you so. !!

1. I dont give a flying fcuk how this goes - since they sacked the twitcher, I have no real hatred towards them

2. People really need to start giving chambers a chance - he came in as an inexperienced rookie and done well until the amount of games and pace of them caught up with him. Le cock then decided to fcuk him about by playing him in 3 different positions in quick succession and thats not fair on the kid. Lastly for what it is worth, I believe that centre back is his proper position and I would like to see him get a run there (and would like to give him another season) before writing him off

3. Ties in slightly with point 2, but when is kos's performances going to be properly highlighted ? For me his performances have, by and large, swapped from being bang average to downright poor - people are rightly quick to slate bfg, but a bit of consistancy here would see a similar amount of criticisim towards kos and right now there isnt even one of sunday's back 4 that I would rely on :(

Mertersacker aint a bad player. Just having a bad spell, which when you consider he has had to play on because we haven't had another centre half, due to the managers failings to get one in at the start of the season, tells you where the finger should be pointed.
Think blaming AW for all this with Mert is a bit wayward, and dont agree its a bad spell, though hope you are right

So twice he has been seen ducking rather than challenging for aerial balls that turned into goals this season, and then all including his balls shrivelled up as he sloped sideways the other day rather than make yourself bigger  .

Last season he played 52 matches for us, so you can hardly blame games played and he also had a few weeks off at the start of this season despite being dropped as Germany approached the latter stage of the WC. Seems that Low also was struggling with him relative to other players :? . Last season almost all games were with Kos. This season with Kos missing a lot he has been woefully exposed. He wasnt really much better with TV5 playing with him, seems his legs and bottle have given out on him at the moment, not sure they will return :(

The combination with Kos worked really well last season, this season he has admitted he is lacking motivation. That may not be helped by AW but the rest seems more down to Mert :(
I agree, Wonga is a clown and a senile old clown at that BUT Mert has been dire on times, he is past it now and he IS a liability he lacks Balls at his size he should be a beast commanding the team but he is ducking and diving too much to be affective.

Yet another game towards the club's ultimate goal of finishing in the top 4, oh the excitement. im willing to bet that one of the drooling vegetables from Arsenal fan TV will say that we are still in the title race after we win this.

I agree about giving Chambers time from the point of view that he has just turned 20 and despite his inexperience has been chucked into a flailing defence (often at CB where he's never played before).

But I don't want to see him near the team now at anywhere other than our 3r choice RB.

I cant see a thing my crystal ball is clouded over by a manager whose tactics ,team selections, and substitutions are mystifying ,and the hit and miss performances turned in by the selection of diva goons we have playing for us .we could do anything from lose 2-1 or win 5-0 . My Biggest problem is where to find it on here in Tokyo @ 5 in the am ?

Arsenal is the only team who can make a lowly team looks good. I can see that happening in this match. We could be struggling and defending like headless chicken in the last ten mins.

gabriel should start and welbeck should not come anywhere near the starting 11, that much is clear.
