Vieira's punishment was way over the top. It was in the days of everyone hating us. 8) "Infamy, infamy they've all got it in for me."

Never understood why spitting is a worse thing than breaking someone's leg though. :?

Well as we all know there is a precedent here, 4 match ban and £30.000 fine, lets wait and see what happens.
What did Vieira get slapped with? Or is it what you state above, I can't remember?

Slapped wrists and 'future conduct' warnings I bet.
Just heard; the FA have charged both.

According to google Viera got £45,000 fine and 6 matches. Talkshite are talking of Cisse getting 6 matches (7 with some other matter as well)

Evans denying it all, at least Cisse admits it, but he wouldn't have reacted if Evans hadn't started it. :censored:

The whole disciplinary system is nonsense. As Chippy says; why is spitting double the standard ban for leaving someone with their leg hanging by a tendon?

What did Thatcher get for trying to decapitate Mendes, 11 games? What did Keane get for deliberately (“his leg was there, I think. Take that, you *word censored*.”) trying to snap Haland’s leg, 5 games? And yet Shawcross and Taylor get three. The whole system seems to be predicated on how much media coverage and faux outrage is generated.

Matic gets his ban dropped to two, why?

Farce.

He made a well timed run looking to be slipped through by toure, but when yaya didn't give the pass aguero turned away showing his disgust and took no interest in the rest of the move which ended with silva's goal  Something isn't right at citeeh and I am wondering if the players at getting pissed off at yaya toure's attitude, or are they getting pissed off at their poor form this season :rubchin:
Toure's antics with the birthday cake farce last year were probably only the tip of the iceberg because he fancied pissing off back to Barcelona. He regularly pops up with comments about how he is underrated and not given the credit he deserves. He probably resents the press that the more glamorous players like Silva and Aguero (and occasionally to a lesser extent Nasri) get and he undoubtedly has put a lot of noses out of joint at the club.

I've watched him this season and he has been a fucking disgrace at times. Against Palace just before Christmas he was so lazy, didn't track back at all and just dived in (even though he had no hope of winning the ball) instead of running. Fernandinho/Fernando (can't remember which) was doing all his defensive work then motoring past him going forward. Which is strange because on his day Toure is like having two players in there himself. Yet in the last 15 minutes he made two bursting runs forward because there was a chance for him to grab a goal and some personal glory.

There have been plenty of other games this season where I've heard he was dreadful and completely disinterested but haven't seen them myself.
