Manure FA Cup

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I was concerned when Ramsey came on, but we managed to have decent team shape nonetheless and press most of the game.
We are an inconsistent team, but we seem to be easier on the eye the harder the opponent.

Of course with no FA (or any other) Cup to go for, then MU can focus on the league. Whilst VG negotiates a stay of execution this evening to hang on to his job for another day or so, is it possible he hasn't yet looked at his remaining fixtures? Surely, if he had, he might leg it for the exit door now? Honestly, if I made them up they wouldn't be much worse.

Best quote of the evening on the TV - "Van Gaal has won trophies in his first season with all the clubs he's managed.....Barcelona. Bayern and Ajax". Now if they were Rochdale (with all due respect), Hartlepool (with all due respect) or the England Cricket Team, then fair play to the great man.

Showing my age, remember EMI by the Pistols..."ever got the feeling you've been had? I bet The Utd board are looking at the small print right now!!!

TBF the United board won't care about the cups, they're not profitable, CL qualification is profitable.

Best result for ages! Beating those dirty, cheating, diving arseholes on their own ground! Great game by the ref - must have been hard to maintain his concentration with that toxic Shrek-breath in his face every 30 seconds. Fucking brilliant!!

Calm down, he was gifted a goal even I could have scored. Just enjoy it.
Sorry Chippy but no you couldn't have! You (nor Giroud) wouldn't have had the pace to have beaten DeGea to the ball in the first place, so the easy opportunity that resulted wouldn't have presented itself at all. :rubchin:

I know a lot of people knock Welbeck, but to be fair to the guy, although poor in the first half, he barely got any service in dangerous areas. In the 2nd half he did manage to tuck away the one chance he got - after creating it for himself with his anticipation and pace. 8) Let's also not underplay his work-rate, which resulted in him winning the ball back for us numerous times in the second half when we might have been put under pressure. :barscarf: :barscarf:

I'm ingesting the media reports like a whale, just opening my mouth and letting everything come in. I look forward to the podcasts later in the week. Nom nom nom! Tastes lovely!! There's a great article on the Guardian comparing the current United to a 50s long ball team. Haha!

Im not an AKB but I am disgusted how so few of you have posted in this thread after a win.

I mean to say if we loose you all are here moaning, yet there is no joy at all in this brilliant win which must be all down to the almightly training and expertise of Mr Wenger. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Felt confident leading up to it and glad I was there to soak that up, unreal night and worth the painful trip.

Enjoy the next few days and forget the doom and gloom until at least the weekend.

What a night.
Just got back to my hotel...throat fucked..head pounding...loved every second.
In reality probably not an amazing performance...but every player put a shift in and fought like fuck...which is pretty much all I ask for.
Top support as well from the travelling gooners.

He left cos your shit...Danny Welbeck :D

In a way that makes it an even more satisfying win. We were not at our best and struggled to keep possession in the 2nd half, it was all about spirit, grit and effort - qualities that have been bereft at the club as of late. Normally we shit the bed against United, but we out-battled them tonight. Couldn't be more proud.
