GAYS IN FOOTBALL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wouldn't really care. As long as he played up to our standard, he is welcome 8)

The sad truth is that gay footballers feel a need to hide their sexuality from the general public, because quite frankly, they would be ridiculed in every game...and for the rest of their career.

I guess a few really high profile footballers need to "come out" - only then will it begin to become an accepted part of the footballing world.

So I urge Cashely to do the honorable thing and "come out" - its the World's worst kept secret anyway, and maybe it would even partly redeem his image that has been left in tatters by Cole-gate, the "my defence" autobiography, cheating on Sheryl Tweedy, and of course the...ermm..."phoning" incident

Makes no difference to me.

I have to say that I personally find homosexuality a bit sick, but that is just a personal opinion - the same way some people might find certain hetrosexual practices a bit sick. I don't care what they get up to in the privacy of their own home, I just really don't want to see it!!

Actually, I'm a bit of a happy hypocrite here; I have absolutely no problem watching attractive porn lesbians getting it on. But fuck it, no one is perfect, right?

I believe in live and let live. Gay or straight, if they are good enough players than I'm happy for them to be playing for us.

Nobody should be abused or discriminated against because of sexual orientation, colour, religion or race. 8)

As long as they aint hurting anyone(who don't deserve it) don't care what they do off the pitch if they play well, and don't disrupt the dressing room.

I think that Cashley shouldn't as his image would give all gays a terrible image. Imagine a twat like Cashley as the face of something. He'll tarnish that thing straight away   Same case with Ronaldo :P

Anyway, there is that famous football quote "What Happens in Dressing Room... Stays in the Dressing Room!" :o Who knows how how it was intended at first

Sol's brother was jailed for 12 months for attacking classmate who suggested that his brother was gay :o

haha that's brilliant.....

"John Campbell, 34, kicked his victim senseless, shattering his jaw and several teeth during a local football club training session. "

it continues....

"[The victim] was struck so hard that stud marks were imprinted on one side of his head, was taken to hospital where he had metal plates inserted in his face to hold his fractured jaw together. He spent days sipping liquidised food through a straw. "

Then the puchline.....

"Campbell, of Manor Park, east London, who claimed self-defence...."

Unbelievable...self defence!
