If you ignore the first leg and take it as a one off game...it was an alright performance I suppose...enjoy :D

It was a very good performance. Glorious failure, just like against Milan and Bayern.

Makes my blood boil hearing Wenger admit we were over confident in the first leg though. We've done fuck all for years and still a patch of decent results is enough to bring the arrogant streak back :x how the fuck can a club be so bloody arrogant to not prepare properly for the Champions League knock out stage? :?

Wenger's clearly the common denominator and he's proved time and time again to be incapable of instilling the right mentality at the club. But even so, there's enough experienced players around, and they should be ashamed.

The only thing that ever kicks them into gear is the 4th place trophy and lost causes. It's pathetic.

£100k a week for a 10-minute impact sub, who does fuck all
And yet, he's "stalling" on a contract extension . Laughable.
Yet some people will claim we can't compete with oil money yet are pissing away millions on him and Diabolical

I want:
- Theo OUT
- Chezney OUT
- Mertesacker OUT
- Gibbs OUT
- Flamini OUT
- Arteta OUT
- Welbeck OUT

I want Schneiderlin or even Kondogbia will do.
I want a top class striker. Like Lewandowski or Benzema, or Reus (play him up top)
I want a top keeper. There are several. Cech, the Leverkusen keeper, bid for Lloris FFS.
I want a top centre half like Subotic.

And crucially, I want all these signings fucking wrapped up and having a full preseason before July is out.

Sadly, with our Economics tard, leaving it until 31 August at 11.53 means there are "great bargains" to be had :banghead:

I bet the lads would have won this game by far, it's just same old "ALMOST" story once again. "THAT WAS NOT FOOTBALL, THAT WAS ACTING".

Mates I'm tired of this c..p, I never thought this day would come, but it did, I might never cheer for a team again, I used to be proud of my team, I cried, I yell'd, I curse'd, i got my kids into loving this team, I even fought for this team. But that team made me regret all of it and the worst made me hate football.

I'w lived all kind of moments in this forum through years, mostly I enjoyed reading, since my English was not good I barely commented. I must say y'all are a great society, I felt always sorry for those who spent a lot to watch this kind of acting.

It was the sight I was dreading, the sight of Clueless with a little smug smile of his face tonight.
He was smug because once again all the media have fallen for the usual 3 card confidence trick.
I hope the majority of fans don't get fooled once again.
Oh yes, we were fantastic, passing it around, time on the ball, under no pressure.
But only because it suited Monaco.
I repeat exactly what I said 2 years ago, if the game tonight had began even, who imagines Monaco would have been so happy for us to have the ball?
They knew they had to avoid conceding 3 goals and it was mission accomplished, they had no shots on target because the believed they didn't need to score, and they were correct.
Just like 2 years ago v Bayern, if we had gone to the 2nd leg all square Monaco would not have approached it in the same way, we would not have had 71% of the ball.
Its all smoke and mirrors, Wenger is content that we walk off again with our heads held high (in his mind), with all the media plaudits of how well we played tonight.
Fact is we were knocked out by a very average, but well organised bunch.

Why do you want those 2 out?

Do you think a Morgan or Kondogbia can take Le Coq's place if he continues to improve at this pace?

Dont get me wrong I want a better cdm than Le Coq.

Peace

Immediately after we lift the 4th place trophy and just before Wenger announces his 'virtual team of the year if only i'd signed them, award'.
So we are on for the treble, my mental strength levels are already on the up.

Stick around mate. We WILL have a new manager sometime soon. And we have close to a league winning squad.

We would have scored three if we needed to win by four. If we had lost the last game 2-1 we would have won 1-0. Just seems to be the way it works with us.

So infuriating. We lost the game in the first leg due to one of our all time worst European performances. Today we played well but the way we approached the first game was quite frankly a disgrace.

Also I don't want to sound bitter or anything as we know the rules before we play but I find the away goal rule one of the most stupid in football. A goal is a goal whether it is scored away from home or at home. Is almost like introducing a rule which says that if you score from outside the penalty area it counts for two.

Spot on.
Unfortunately I know I will be having conversations with fellow Gooners, some of whom I go to games with, about how unlucky we were.
Add to that the fact we have a very real chance of winning the cup and maybe even finshing second and they think I'm the one in the wrong...and repeat until wenger leaves.....i would literally give my left bollock for simeone to take over.

I was listening to an interesting discussion on the radio after the match, and as one guy pointed out, apart from the fans, who actually gives a shit about the match tonight. The players don't really care, as they are on a cushy number at Arsenal, in which very little is expected of them, and if any of them have any ambition then they will go somewhere else to win things. The manager is a clown, who thinks he is a genius for getting us into the CL every year, while the board only care about the bank balance, and tonight isn't really relevant to them, as it was job done when we qualified back in December. We must be the only club in the last 16, who didn't really give a shit about making the QTR finals, what an embarrassing club we have become :banghead:
