Chimp in the firing line

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Surely you wouldn't start him ahead of "Dat guy" Welbz! (can you tell I am still utterly underwhelmed by how average he is)

Preaching to the converted buddy - even before we bought him I had always stated my belief that wellbeck is no better than average, and I have seen nothing to change my mind.
The possibility of using faster direct football with monkey boy on the wing, would be very exciting for all Gooners 8)
You two must've been among the crowd during transfer deadline day last summer celebrating our initial bid for Welé falling through. I know I was. :barscarf:

Dr Zaius would be much better suited to the Prem than Özil but it won't happen; Madrid would ask 100m Euro or something crazy.

I don't agree with selling Ozil but if we were to do it, it should be to Juve for Pogba.

I think the time to sell Ozil is this summer, if its left until next summer then his contract is down to its last year and then there will another almighty fuck up from Wenger.

Its coming to the end of his second season and still we dont know if he is a good/bad player for us. Time to move him on but I do agree with Pogba and the Italian League would suit Ozil down to the ground

Probably in the minority here but I don't harbour much hate towards Bale myself. He used the Scum and left them for the first big team that came in for him. Like the majority of their heroes, he grew up a boyhood fan of the Arsenal. He's just had a great game for Wales with him and Ramsey linking up together really well.

I think he's a class player and hope he doesn't end up at Yanited or God forbid, Chelski.

What fucking planet are Madrid fans on? I know Israel v Wales isn't exactly El Classico but the bloke is unbelievable. He is devastating.

Look at that goal he scored to win them the Copa del Rey last year ffs

I can see the problems that can arise with fitting in Bale and Ronaldo in the same team.

Both really need to be the central figure in attack. Today Bale wasn't brilliant but he was effective, he takes a lot of shots when passes are on but like Ronaldo they often go in.

Recently at Madrid since the light telling off by Ronaldo, he has refrained from trying his luck, he is always looking for the pass, and passing for him is at times a weak point. Thus when he continually can't find a pass and he is never in position to score, his confidence saps away and the jeers for the madristas makes him want to hide.

He is a brilliant player who isn't in his prime yet, most fans would cut him and a team who are European champions some slack but he is at a very demanding club, hope he stays so utd don't get him.

I think that's a fair analysis. At international level Bale is good enough to tear teams apart whilst putting in a tremendous shift all over the park and helping out everywhere. For a club like Madrid if he isn't given free licence then you detract from his attacking ability, and with Ronaldo there he's never going to be their main man.

If he moved back to the PL he would tear shit up. I've been privileged enough to see some unreal footballers in my life and Bale is devastatingly good.
