Used to love flying too tbh. Just takes that one bad flight to cure you of any love you might have of flying through the air at 800mph in a big, heavier than air, steel coffin possibly piloted by a suicidal or drug addicted fucktard....

:( :|

I feel I have covered this ground before...

... the way the body parts will cover the ground if that big fucking flying death trap breaks up at altitude....

I used to genuinely love flying. Flew all round the world, Oireland to Australia and back on 4 occasions, Australia to Saudi, Oireland to Cyprus, dozens and of flights from Dublin to places like London, Paris, Manchester, Brum, GiroLand, Portugal, Denmark, Spain etc etc and even though a couple of those flights were dodgy with turbulence and slammer landings I still enjoyed them all.

Until Brussels.

Absolutely 100% totally thought I was gonna die. It's a very strange type of sensation tbh. The whole plane was full of sobbing women and screams and very scared looking air hostesses. Even the captain sounded fucked when he announced we were up and safe. Drank myself fucking legless on the rest of that flight. Now I fucking hate flying. Still do it because I have to and I refuse to give in but it's a mare. :|
Lol.

But what happened, were the problems on the take off?

It wasn't owing to flying but I know exactly what you mean about genuinely thinking you are about to die. I experienced that last year and it is the strangest feeling.
Flew into the infamous Runway 13 at Kai Tak in Hong Kong a couple years before it closed. Fuck me that was something - and in those days I loved flying! :|

As arseofaRetard has been keen to point out   , the full gory details are on here somewhere, but yeah, on take off we got up a couple thousand feet and then lots of noise, plane started back towards the ground etc.

It was fun when I flew from Lusaka to Kitwe in Zambia and the start procedure included the pilot sticking his hand out of the window to get the propellor going. :worried:

got short shrift when I asked about in-flight movies.

I remember when I was in witness protection and I was being escorted by the FBI on a flight, and the bad guys were after me so they managed to sneak hundreds of venomous snakes on the plane and then they started dropping from the ceiling and up the toilet and...

Hang on... that was a movie :rubchin:

I'm only flying with scouse pilots from now on. You won't catch them ripping up a fucking sick note and going to work.

That's obviously because you did a top notch job and they were cured with no need to consult you again!
