Previous Arsenal v Liverpool matches (Highbury/ Emirates)

Couldn't find an existing thread for this fixture....have been to quite a few over the years, the one that most stands out was a comfortable 3-0 victory at Highbury in 1991, with Smith getting the pick of the goals, from a Merson backheel

Another fabulous game to witness was the 4-0 mauling, when Limpar scored a sublime goal from nr the halfway line (well before Beckham got worldwide fame for scoring a lesser goal)

Last one I can recall being at in person was the Diaby header winner a few years back.....so, especially for Steveo

The one that must be the all time most important was Good Friday 2004. I was there in the front row of the family enclosure close to the North Bank. Chippy jnr had just been to his first evening game on the Tuesday to see us get knocked out of the CL QF by the Chavs and we'd just been dumped out of the FA cup in the semi by Manure.

We were 2-1 down at HT. So we'd gone from a possible treble to looking like we were going to win nothing in 6 days. Pires equalised, then Henry turned on the magic. He single handed destroyed the scouse defence leaving Carragher on his arse about 10 feet in front of us. :barscarf: one of the best celebrations ever.
