As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
was great to see pat rice, o'leary and brady after the match last night, brady was in bouyant mood. somehow they manged to get away from the ground pretty sharpish without attracting too much attention. pat rice on the other hand was lagging behind and got stuck for ages posing for pictures

Don't think we managed the game well and Wenger's habit of not making a sub if we're winning is crazy - made a huge difference when Welbeck came on. But we were comfortable at the end and it was a game which in times gone by would have seen us chuck away points or at least be clinging on for dear life.
I don't know why the pundits were predicting us to sweep them aside as they've made it hard for all the big teams home and away this year. 8 wins on the bounce is no mean feat at all so credit to the team. That said, if we were in with a chance of winning the league I don't think we would be looking so fearless and assured for a second. We will end up with about the same number of points as last season and chances are it will be the same next year.

All the northern clubs can get to fuck. Bournemouth, Watford and Brentford please.
Personally I would like to see norwich promoted Dont know why I like them (especially after the infamous brawl at highbury) but I have always had a soft spot for them
As one of the few to ever stand up to roy keane and tell him to f.ck off, I would like to see mick mccarthy promoted - he served Ireland well as both a player and a manager, and standing up to the countries darling player ( ) took some balls even though most people know that keane is a troublesome cuntbag
After that I wouldnt be adverse with brentford coming up - I had a runout with them many moons ago so I like them as a club, plus the way they are treating their manager is a scandal
All that being said, I do think that it would be better for the division if the teams that came up were capable of actually staying up - it's no good watching the league running on a two year cycle with the same teams being promoted and relegated again and again
Bournemouth will get bumholed. Great story and I would like to see them in the PL but they just won't adapt. They'll come up and play the same way and get hammered regularly.
Look at the Liverpool FA Cup game for example - Bolton and Blackburn played negative crap against them and both were unlucky to lose after 180 minutes. By contrast Bournemouth were tipped to cause them real trouble at a time when Liverpool were really struggling and just tried to play them off the park - even below their best Liverpool are a miles better footballing side than Bournemouth and cruised past them.
Any weekend where we win and ‘they’ lose is a good one.
In many ways it was an atypical performance from what we’re used to seeing from contemporary Arsenal sides; we defended well and looked pretty solid, albeit against a limited Burnley side.
We have no chance of the title, but if we can achieve second and retain the cup I’ll be pretty happy.
Bradywasking wrote:Good result not so good game. Felt we were better team throughout and apart from a couple of scares in second half it was as comfortable as possible. Coq was immense, thought Ramsey was a bit laboured, Sanchez has an amazing engine and Bellerin is a fantastic prospect with the occasional mistake in him.
Thought the Burnley fans were pathetic, predictable but pathetic.
Yep, a good win but a very poor game. I'll take that though.
Also thought the Burnley fans were absolute toilet. Booing every time one of their arseholes scythed one of our lads down and then chanting "cheat" constantly. Hysterical screeches of "handball" whenever the ball hit anywhere on an Arsenal player.
Was only a matter of time before those fuckwits got full membership of the Small Club Charter and yep there it was "Same old Arsenal, always cheating..."
I hope they get relegated. Sean fucking Dyche. Fuck him too. Did anyone hear wheeler dealer 'Arry wánking himself into Chris "Look at me daddy!" Kamara's mouth about "top manager" and all round great bloke "Dychey" on Goals on Sunday?

No, but I did hear him on 5Live banging on about his leaving QPR. Apparently his knee-knack had fuck all to do with it – quelle surprise – and it was because of ‘negative influences’ or some such bollocks.

God, I hope I don't
Hope Bournemouth get promoted and we get an away trip in august that would be a good day out
