Excellent "progress" again this season!
Another outstanding 90 mins from Giroud too, zero shots on target until he was subbed, one shot all game.
Superb. Can't wait for next season
He will never beat Jose, Yawn.

Another big game and yet another Ozil no-show!!  Why this guy never gets substituted when he is giving nothing to the team is a fecking mystery. I don't care how good he was for Real Madrid, in 2 seasons this guy has yet to live up to those standards or provide anything substantial to show he can live up to the hype. He is way too soft for our league and at £43m is a luxury we just can't afford - especially when that money could and should have been used to strengthen areas where we had more need. :banghead:

I Thought Ozil was no worse than anybody else,we know what he is about, his game is based on being subtle and cute and having players on the same wave length,he isn't gonna take the game by the scruff of the neck, hes been pivotal in recent weeks to our good form,if anybody proved themselves shite it was once again Giroud, while he plays as our main striker we will never hit the top

Utterly pathetic from Chelsea to put in those sorts of celebrations - even if they'd lost today they're still 7 clear so let's not pretend there was anything riding in that respect. Mourinho doesn't need to obviously encourage his players to do that to win the mind games with Wenger.

In terms of the game we didn't shame ourselves by any means but again Mourinho has come to keep a clean sheet and again he's done that - 5 on the bounce against them without a goal. Acquitted ourselves a bit better than in years gone by but ultimately Wenger still has zero idea how to vary things effectively against them. We could have been playing til next Thursday and we still wouldn't have scored.
I couldn't care less if our games were like Rafa vs Mourinho. He never gave a shit about performances and jose hated playing against him because he never got duped into playing expansively like Van Gaal just did.

Why did Jose hate Rafa so much, because the games were always very tight and they went to the wire. That is exactly the approach we should have when we face Chelsea. If Welbeck could shoot we could have won the game 1-0 in style graham, rafa, simeone even jose would admire.
We all know the chavs are "Classless" - But to out any one of our players after today's game is mis-guided, if we do then we need to out at least 6 players- we just weren't inspired enuogh by the manager - he didn't do his job (again).

A player of Ozil's calibre should have put it away(his Air Kick) - but that was one of a number of chances within the team - Why we kept putting the ball high into the area - all the forwards are midgets - the chav defence must have thought it was a joke - and it WAS.

We didn't deserve to win - neither did they - But at least maureen (cuntt though he is) still easily managed the game - making his subs etc and used them to come close to winning the game. Unlike our oh so utterly predictable manager - he is said to be an intelligent person - so why oh why cannot he not see what all of us can.

The Chavs played two games the first half - they contested - and made breaks to try and score - after the first half maureen KNEW we weren't going to score - so he pushed a high(er) line in the 2nd half - condensed the mid-field - used dogbreath as a focal point - had his team keep the ball - slow the tempo and simply Totally Nullify us.

Wenger nice man though he is - HAS TO GO!

:?

Poor performance but at least we didn't lose

Funny how people have different perspectives though, i thought Ramsey was poor again, cutting back inside too much and killing Ozil and Santi's room, too much time spent deciding what to do as usual and also being far too slow getting back to cover Bellerin at times

Could have been worse, challenge on Oscar was a penalty and Ramirez should have scored. Chelsea have got far more pace in midfield with Hazard, Ramirez and Willian and that's the big difference. Ozil has as much or more technical ability, but he's not quick enough to get into space from a standing start and that's how you create openings, Santi is almost there, but he's a bit slower over the first few yards and so doesn't usually get clear. Both can make space through great footwork, but you want them to be driving forward as they do it. Look at the Ox, you can see how being quick gives you a massive advantage, because defenders can't hold their positions. And Walcott last year. Not sure what the solution is unless you pay mucho dinero for either an attacking midfielder or striker who is genuinely fast on the ball. Maybe Welbeck one day, he's the closest we have other than Alexis, and he can't always do it on his own.

Okay then, let's rebuild the whole team so we can get to see this so called 'subtleness' and 'cuteness' and have a team that can be on the 'same wavelength' as Ozil! Alternatively we could spend the money on players not likely to fall down at the merest touch and that might actually have a shot now and then - or at the very least put some fucking effort in!! It's a croc of shit of an excuse and you know it!! £43m and he can't take a game by the scruff of it's neck - unlike the REAL top players.

By the way, the earlier posters that criticised Welbeck for missing that late chance - which was deflected behnd him - should be aiming their ire at Ozil, who failed to tuck it in from inside the 6 yard box (having earlier not shot when in a similar position). :banghead:

on the plus side I thought Monreal showed why he is first choice LB,when he gets forward his crossing is bang on and as a defender hes pretty decent too :barscarf:

I Gaurantee Ozil in a Chelsea shirt playing for Mourinho would be world Class.i watched him for Germany last month,he was sublime and made the world champions tick, his neat little passes were the differance
